With that being said i think maru's prep in gsl was the reason he did so well (coupled with his general lvl of play ofc), so he will surely do well there and maybe even get the triple win. | ||

But I don't think he really took the event that seriously. He said at the start of the year he wants to win 3 GSLs and blizzcon, he's probably taking it easy until gsl ro16. | ||

One can only assume how serious he took it, seems pointless :D Though i guess he at least said that he didn't practice the same amount recently, so yeah maybe. | ||

 Maru had a good answer with the raven, in a straight up fight you can disable the colossus. But Stats baited him to use AAM and delayed with forcefields. Vikings or a lot of libs are probably the only answer. Unless Maru practiced specifically for it and brings out all the anti-deathball tricks he had in HotS. I'd have rather seen Maru just basetrade instead of trying to fight in games 1 and 4. | ||

I just wish for all people saying Maru wins ONLY because of his preparation that Maru takes down Blizzcon or a big weekend tourney. The IEM that Rogue won earlier this year, Maru was unstoppable there and lost out in the semis to Rogue himself. I believe his eyes will be set on this GSL now more than ever. | ||

But given the state of sc2 in korea, an event with $100K prize pool should be at least mildly motivating. Maybe not to Maru, Rogue, or INno, but the rest of them like Stats and Dark seem to try for every offline event. | ||

Don't think that he's going to be serious even at gsl s3. You can't play all year like a madman. You need to save some energy (secrets, there's not so much time for preparation) for the last shoot. And don't forget about 2018 Asian Games (mid-August). He is in. | ||
