with the way leenock and life played zvz at mlg who doesn't want a shit ton of zvzs?

I think Protoss should learn how to counter the infestor better, I dunno but I think the high templar might be the answer, since Zerg does nto have a ghost there i no reason not to get 20 HT's instead of 10 archons and just storm / FB the place, I know zerg has a vicious ground army that can take out your HT's, but maybe with proper micro from other ground units they can be defended until used.

Gas, Protoss can't take enough bases to continually pump out such high-gas units. Zerg can go up to 4 and 5 bases a lot easier than Protoss can, and also have more effective mineral dumps in the matchup.

Why would you ever be a fan of a protoss player...

Well not a Protoss player but a sad Zealot! Thats quite a difference.

9 protoss in ro32 > 2 protoss in ro16
p.s. Rain should not to forfeit gsl too :/
|
This season could just be considered a slump, rain forfeiting doesnt help either. There were only 2 zergs in the ro16 a few seasons a go I think. The future doesn't look bright though!

What will you do if the top 8 is 6 or 7 zerg and a single terran?
I know I'm gonna flip if I gotta watch GomZvZ

sign me up ;( why blizzard whyyyy ?!

Rain forfeited, Squirtle is slumping, Seed lost in PvP, MC and a bunch of promising KeSPA protoss players barely did not make it to Code S. Finale and Vampire aren't exactly favored to begin with. There has always been more terran pro gamers in Korea than protoss. Puzzle just retired.
As far as imbalance goes, I think the only clear case is Hero vs Soulkey and maybe Seed vs Sniper. So it's not too bad yet, and actually, TvZ has been worse this season than ZvP.

I still think that the main reason to be sad is not in the results, but in the gameplay. The non-protoss matchups are just so much more fun to watch. I haven't seen a really entretaining PvZ in ages and watching some of the Rain's PvPs when he just rolls over the oponent at 200 by having a better everything is boring as hell. So at the end, GSL is better off with morst of the Protosses gone - and ironically is making me more likely to watch even though I am a Protoss player.
On the other hand, playing protoss in Platinum league is more fun than ever. The mainstream play shifted away from strategies I hated to face (like 2 base muta, 1-1-1 and phoenix), so now most of the time I lose, I just see how my oponent was better in some aspect. Not being a top player is so nice

The poor guy, now officially only 2 protoss left. Such a horrible mixture of plain bad luck, and protoss players having trouble against zerg (I can't say if it's imbalance or a meta-game issue). So many of my favourite players are protoss, in fact my absolute favourite player is Seed. *sighs*

It's funny that so many people don't remember GSL season 2 when it was a protoss and terran fest from ro16 onwards....no balance issues back then eh?
