Back on topic the next couple of weeks provide at least two big chances to cheer the sad zealot up.
MLG Orlando:
While most of the Protoss were unfortunately seeded into the same group that's not a wholly bad thing. MLG Orlando gives many of them the chance to show off their new pvp in a world where 4gate and fast blink are not the only option. There are seven protoss total in pool play and every one of them has a shot at winning or at least doing incredibly well this mlg. Even if they don't win I expect to see a lot of creativity from these guys which should serve to inspire others if nothing else.
Blizzcon: Ok not gonna lie, there are only 2 protoss at blizzcon, the relatively unknown Nifi from taiwan and Naniwa. Both came second in their qualifiers and both lost to zergs of which blizzcon has 8 in attendance. However those qualifiers were a couple months ago and it should be safe to say that both players have likely upped their skill since then. Naniwa at least has been practicing in Korea since then and should put up one of his legendary fights as he battles for victory. Nifi has a chance to surprise us all and show the world what Taiwanese protoss have been doing while no one was watching them.

I'm hoping sase gets through the open bracket and is put in pool A.
That pool is extremely weak and I think whoever makes it out of the open bracket will win that pool (and im hoping its a protoss)

Zerg player here to show my respects. Don`t worry Brotoss, it gets better
I even have a protoss buddy who stopped playing ( out of sadness i guess) . Now it`s just me and my terran friend , and although in the games we play now we have a 1/2 chance of winning instead of 1/3 it feels like there is something missing QQ T.T

Yeah, I've had a hard time finding the will to play too. I know the balance issues doesn't affect me, there's really no reason to avoid it, but still... Maybe it's the lack of Protoss champions I can look toward for inspiration, or perhaps it's just the overall depressing feeling...
I'll try to log in and play some games tonight, cheer myself up with the illusion of Protoss power due to my own ineptitude, and my opponent's.

Let me tell you a story about the protoss user.
the protoss user is cerebral. the protoss has no easy matchups. the protoss user walks a lonely road, the only one that he has ever known. the protoss user turns his face into the wind and walks with purpose. the protoss user is a snail, crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight razor to victory, and surviving.
he does not try to bend the imbalanced ZvP matchup. that's impossible. instead, the protoss user must realize the truth: that there is no matchup. it is not the matchup that is imbalanced, only himself.
the protoss user must learn to bury the unfairness with anger. the protoss user must confront it and face the truth. the protoss user knows how to fight with 12 units, he must learn how to engage twelve hundred. the protoss user knows how to disappear, he must learn how to become truly invisible. the protoss user understands that invisibility is a matter of patience, and creativity. the protoss user always minds his surroundings.
the ordinary progamer is just a man, lost in the scramble for his own gratification. he can be defeated, destroyed. to win, the protoss user must become more than just a man. if he can convince himself of the truth--then he can become something else entirely: a legend.

At the same time I'm dreading it. I REALLY don't want another failed design like the Void Ray or Colossus. Like, exchange my little sister and all her polly pockets for a Reaver don't want.

They can't fuck up that bad... not will all the negative feedback surrounding those units....
Well here's to hoping!

I don't know if this is appropriate for the actual MLG Orlando thread so I'll post it here. I had these feelings about IPL and it would be silly to mention Blizzcon so:
If Sundance came up to you and said if a Protoss places Top 3 at MLG Orlando you get 10 Million Dollars if he drops out before then you die?
Poll: Would you take the bet?No (29) 76% Yes (9) 24% 38 total votes Your vote: Would you take the bet? (Vote): Yes (Vote): No
Note Group A and the likelihood that a Toss should place top 6. Also OgsMC is on the premises.

Gatored vs DRG game 3 IEM New York.
Some hope for the hopeless.

I find myself asking, What is Blizz waiting for?!? Cause every game vs Terran is a 1/1/1 more!

whats funny is that should he have been properly scouted (overlord missing the double stargate and factory missing 3gates and a robo) he would have probably lost. and he barely held even with ENORMOUS build order wins.
also, please spell ESPORTS correctly in the future

I mean if Gatored can beat DRG and sterlok then who are u to say u lost a game cause toss is UP ? Just look all the comments in here saying they stopped palying sc2 casue its UNPALYABLE atm, im just sick of this
