I don't think it's a Korean thing, just a HerO thing. I think he is a bit shy / nervous in front of such a large crowd, I've seen him do it quite a bit whenever he is on stage.

The white noise head phones from the booths are really tight and actually hurt his ears a lot since he has an earring that pushes against T-T;;
