go win next season Next Season? WCS (EU/AM/KR) season 2 starts in June he won't play any season because he is retreating he is retiring in august, that gives him enough time for a 2nd season. I don't think he ever said that he won't do it
And anyway, I am sure he could keep playing WCS during his studies, like Polt.

Despite the end result, I thought Stephano played really well against MVP. In the one straight up macro game, Stephano beat MVP badly even though he was playing very "middle of the road" keeping a good mix of units but powering his economy at the same time. In the other games he just got outsmarted by MVP. I attribute this primarily to MVP's outstanding game sense and the fact that he plays on a team that practices HoTS 12 hours a day on a regular day, whereas Stephano's playing a few hours every other day or so, by himself, on the EU or NA ladder. I think in six months or so, Stephano would have more or less figured out HoTS and been a premier player in the world again (despite the influx of tremendous talent from KESPA). It's too bad he's retiring. He still can be an elite player; he doesn't give himself enough credit.

I can take a liquidbet, he will not retire from Sc2 for good. Easy money is very hard to earn those days, he is not " f*** stupid ". He will hang on his allowance a little bit more to do great parties.
Anyway, I give this lazy kid a year to get bored of his studies.

Game 2 was straight up macro game too and Mvp beat him. and in last game Mvp was setting for macro game but Stephano was desperate..

come on guys, he does it every year, that's just his way to renegotiate his contract

I'm so proud of the way Stephano played :D Even though he didn't win, he proved he is more than a match for most players(lots of people doubted his HotS gameplay)
If he retires in august, the scene will be alot worse without him.

Stephano seems to have really improved his game in HOTS. He is improving at such a rate it seems so sad that he will be retiring. I understand his reasons but I do think this tournament has shown that he still retains his quality and his ability to compete. He could still achieve so much in SC2, if he was not calling time on it.

I agree, the amount of talent coming out from this guy is unbelievable Him and naniwa just outshine most other foreigners at the moment (maybe Jim is as good as them but haven't seen too much of his performance on stage) and also a few that are showing us the future metagame. A huge shame to lose Stephano before lotv

If he retires it would be a huge blow to the starcraft e-sports community he keeps the candle alive for the foreigners naniwa is good but not good enough, scarlett is not consistent with results TLO had issues with his nerves and decision making in time of crucial opponents and match. . .who will hold the torch stephano will left behind? it's so F@cking boring to watch koreans all the time, no matter how good or skillful innovation and all other else would be i know that's starcraft used to be but stephano is the great foreign hope he gives color and fluidity upon the game in international point of views, for quite some time now and maybe, maybe if he puts his mind set and considerable amount of time with the game, added perhaps divine motivation, i think he can stand toe to toe among the top koreans only if. . . And by the time he is gone he will sorely be missed and starcraft will felt that, 8k 10k viewers for single colorful figure who will have that? , especially this times, people have so many choices in games , it will be dull for quite a time.
Though i respect his and firmly believe with what he says :" it's a good thing to know know when to stop. . ." There's nobody ready to pick his torch and legacy right now. . .There will always be , but not these days. . .not these days.

Good boy is off to Korea now for practice, streaming and WCS! Hope you're all excited. Figured it was time for a little update/bump thingie. Also he did announce that he was participating in both HomeStoryCup and MLG Anaheim as a small little spoiler, but we'll be seeing a lot of Stephano in the near future. ^__^v
