This is confirmation that he will be missing IEM Katowice and Iron Squid 2. He said on twitter he is a " warrior " and will probably still go there, his next two Iron Squid matches are vs korean players and will be played online obviously on korean server If I'm not mistaken, so are you sure of that ? It'd be sad to miss Iron Squid, even if it's to play GSL and PL : /
I presume he would not fly back for Katowice because the schedule of ProLeague and Code S prevents it. Maybe it doesn't. His tweet does seem to indicate that he will attend however. Katowice starts a week on Friday, so not long in Korea before flying back again.

A ton of koreans who play code A/S went to MLG/IPL/DreamHack events these past 2 years. I don't see why Stephano couldn't do the same thing.

He is not absolutely needed for all Proleague matches. Besides, the Ironsquid finalists will most likely be in code S too. If he manages to qualify, I don't see the Proleague holding him back in Korea. This is the biggest tournament for french people. And 2500$ up to 12500$ is quite good for two series and a one day event.

Could Stephano debut in SPL tomorrow against SKT? Did he mention anything like that?

He is not absolutely needed for all Proleague matches. well he's got a very good ZvT maybe EG-TL wouldn't have been all killed by flash...

I am very sure, he just go to korea to play gsl. pl is just a "nice to have" for him. I wouldnt surprised if he wont play a single pl game.

funny how his best matchup keeps changing.
Now he seems unbeatable in ZvT and is pretty shaky in ZvP, maybe in a few months he will be unbeatable at ZvZ

It is very important for EG. it's good exposure for a team that's more famous for having Machine and Incontrol than winning league.

Right now is the best moment to play a season for him because there aren't so many foreign tournaments in jan & feb. I know nothing except IEM Katowice (in 11 days) and I haven't heard about MLG, IPL, DH etc. Maybe they start with their tournaments this year with HotS. I agree 100% with you about the good exposure for a team if it play pl.

I really hope Stephano generally scales back his participation in foreign tournaments at least until the GSL is done. As a fan I really want him to do well in Code S, especially so that we don't have to listen to a year's worth of "I told you so's" from Stephano haters about how they always knew he couldn't hack it in Code S (even though that view point, no matter what happens, is wrong). His time in Korea would be well spent IMO focusing on proleague and the GSL.(I wouldn't fault him for going to the iron squid finals though.) Of course he could go to foreign tournaments and still prepare for the GSL, but his pattern seems to be that if he's traveling, he's not practicing -- at all. Even when he's not traveling he's usually not practicing, but if you take traveling out of the equation, at least that's one less potential obstacle to serious training.

Keep quiet about smuggling a knife onto a plane with ease? Are u joking? Be happy he has the balls to point it out, who knows it might have been someone u know to find out the hard way how easy it is to smuggle a knife on airplanes at some places.

I would hope that the knife picture was not on a flight to Korea, because he could get deported for it
