He certainly holds him in high regard. I'm hoping that Jaedong's work ethic rubs off on Stephano (and not the converse). How much interaction they'll actually have with each other probably will be limited given that Jaedong will likely be based in Korea and even if he stays at the lair, Stephano isn't there anyway. It's still a pretty epic one two punch and EG now has arguably the three most popular zerg in the world on its team, so I don't imagine they'll have any trouble keeping their sponsors. | ||

Well, I'm a big Stephano fan but he wasn't playing his own level ( not even close to it ) for the whole month, except maybe in LSC but he didnt have great opponents except Bomber, versus which he had an advantage in their series. So IMO there was a tiny slump or whatever that seemed like the start of it, but it looks like it's getting better, but if you really want we can all lose our objectivity and blindly say that he is the BEST PLAYER EVAH' but then we couldn't pretend to be smart ! | ||

Saying that he's struggling a bit when he loses to Idra, TT1 and Fraer is something a fan should raise as a possibility especially given he doesn't appear to be practicing. If you think he should be losing to foreigners of their caliber you must actually think he sucks, so how much of a fan are you? | ||

Also perhaps he or I was being a bit too negative but it's hardly "fear mongering" - which is an idiotic misuse of that word by the way - and you need a diversity of opinions from people who have rooted for Stephano for quite some time, as long as they're not too strident and are supported by argument. It's possible to have a discussion about this. | ||

I understand the talk of a slump, but it is a bit disrespectful to TT1 etc who managed to take those series. The reality is no player can win every series in SC2. Stephano showed last weekend that he can take games from Hero, Hyun, Life, DRG, MC, Seed plus Heart and Ganzi. I am keen to see how he does against Kespa players in Proleague. EG are certainly accumulating a Hive Mind in their team - Stephano, Idra, Suppy, Machine, LZGamer and now Jaedong. I would not be surprised if they tried to recruit Scarlett next year. | ||
