To be fair to Wheat he said that Stephano had been in a roller-coaster lately. He didn't explicitly say results. He might have been referring to general experiences such as being arrested etc. There was some criticism of the map pool at the NASL3 Finals but that was not relevent to Stephano's matches. You could argue that Dual Sight being Z favoured in Zerg-Protoss games, but Stephano never played on that map. Ret played three times there and lost twice, so that map did not help Ret. Idra was trying to make a point about Hero disliking Antigua, but Hero managed to win against DRG on that map last week, so Hero not liking the map is a weak point. We all know that Stephano loves Antigua, it his favourite map. We should rename it Stephano's Shipyard. The reality was that Stephano convincingly defeated his two biggest threats in the last 8 and then simply outclassed Alicia in the Final. No-one really expected Alicia to beat Stephano in a Bo7, not even Alicia. I don't think anyone can argue that Stephano had a lucky draw, he had the toughest half of the bracket.Whoever had won his side of the bracket would have been favourite to win the Final. I've been rewatching the VODs and Stephano dominated all 3 of his opponents. I liked the fact that the series were Bo5 or Bo7, as I feel that the longer series really demonstrate the better performer on the day and are less susceptible than a Bo3 to map choice influence or a single mistake determining the series. Also a longer series allows a story to develop within that series, where the audience waits to see if winner of the initial maps can be caught or not. Stephano is going to Korea shortly, and he has already played most of the leading Korean players and taken numerous scalps. His recent wins against Koreans will have increased his confidence and made him more intimidating to Korean opponents. Will be interesting to see how much he improves in his time there. With improved quality of opponents and more focused practice environment, he could potentially move up a level. He will have more friends there this time compared to December 2011. Bling will be with him, Thorzain and Mana are there. He knows various Korean players a lot better now, like MC, Polt, JYP and Hero compared to last time. He gets on well with Khaldor. So he should have a better support network than last year. That should help.

He was laughing but we could see the honesty in his eyes. that's just one case of idra being utterly wrong about game balance, and like the 1000th of that in sc2 history. he was whining about everything that he lost to basically, while thinking he is better than those he played against.

you speak the truth, I watch the show live this night (its late to watch live in france) and posted this morning, Wheat didn't speak really about result but more about some out of the game event. My bad for wrongly quoting him. @trancendent one : lets avoid speaking directly of Idra here :p

Not that cheap plastic shit mind, wear Ray-Bans, its not like you can't afford it with your tens of thousands in earnings. 2) Act more nonchalant, pretend you don't care about anything, its easier if you put in a fake French accent because you, and everyone else, will really believe that you really don't give a shit about anything. 3) Practice less, you don't get some of the best PvZ in the world by practicing before tournaments, that's what talentless newbies do. This will also add into your air of nonchalantness. 4) Get drunk in public regularly, bonus points if you spend the night in the drunk tank or throw up. It will all help convince everyone that you are unable to handle your money and success, however you know that its all an act made to make people realise how they just can't handle you. + Show Spoiler + Jkjk love you Stephano

Being of Arabic descent cannot have helped him getting though security, in New York expecially. Somewhat ironic considering that Stephano has probably helped spur more chants of 'USA, USA, USA' than any other Arab in history. The security guards could have Googled him to see that playing video games is his actual job. Did NASL not supply Stephano with a massive fake cheque to show the customs guy? That would be such a boss move to pull. Pro-gamer is not a real job? Check out this big-ass cheque - that is $30,000. Suck it up, customs guy. That's for one weekend of being a boss! I always wonder how Bomber makes it into America, with that pseudonym. Or Killer. Haha. they have a first and last name duh.
