About this MSI Pro Cup forfeit, here is a message of Llewellys (Manager of Millenium):
Rough translation:
A player has the right to forfeit in an online tournament, playing is not an obligation and he penalizes himself more than the tournament because he loses his chances to win the cashprize. But what is unacceptable, it's the fact that they both (Dimaga and Stephano) didn't tell anyone about their forfeit. About Dimaga I don't know what has happened yet, but about Stephano it's totally direspectful and it shows an obvious lack of education. Anyway, he can act as an arrogant ass if he wants to, but you will see neither of them in the next MSI Pro Cup.

He seems pissed off. Let's hope nothing bad comes out of this.

i lol'd, what a drama.
Stephano probably just got bored to wait for his match, he stopped to play versus Jyp because of this Cup and wait for something like a hour. That's kind of lame but well, i don't really care, i watch Sc2 mainly for him.
He'll probably quit Millenium as soon as his decision about his future will be definitive, and join a bigger team if he choses to continue.

It's bad for Llewellys too, he seems like such a nice guy.

stephano said in the matches vrs jyp that he had to go for a cup, they must have kept him waiting or some mis communication happened or something because he clearly knew about it and even stopped playing jyp because of it so it's weird, millenium should think twice before making lamenting statements about one of the hottest properties in sc2 atm, stephano could walk onto any team atm and people would quickly forget millenium existed
tbh millenium do a horrible job marketing stephano anyways and it wouldn't be a bad thing if he left their team

Marketing, marketing.... Knowing Llewelly's personnality I know he doesn't like players who act like child, especially like Stephano. Seriously, I'd go out of my mind with someone this childish. It's not the first time Stephano does this kind of stuff and certainly not the last. At least he could have left a message about him leaving, but no, letting the organisers in the dark is so fun. He's a spoiled kid.

Thats maybe abit to much when nobody got the full story. Stephano stopped playing vs JYP sayd he had MSI cup and then I waited. It seems to me that he waited like over an hour and just sayd fuck it and left. Was it wrong to leave without saying it? Defiantly but maybe he was just pissed. Or maybe he thought he had a BYE since Dimaga didnt show up and was done for today.
We really dont know what happend until Stephano make a statement. But I do think its really unprofessional by Millinium´s manager to go out in public and say stuff like that. In every team there is problems but its suppose to stay inside the team behind closed doors. I dont really understand what Millinium´s manager was thinking.
If I was Stephano I would proberly be exstremely pissed

There may be reasons (even valid reasons to leave, some speak about a girl... ) but it's wrong not to notify the admin about it. Llewellys is an amazing manager who puts a lot of effort in his team so the players have only the game to care about, and to be rewarded with such childish behavior is no fun.
That said, I wouldn't read too much about this, Stephano is not known for his seriousness, he probably went out for 5 minutes to get a sandwitch or something, met some sexy girl in awe of his hairstyle and his playstyle, and conveniently forgot about the MSI Pro Cup

I don't get why all those guys want stephano to leave Millenium. Millenium is an important team in Europe, is getting more and more results and has a great lineup, and even owns a gaming house. They've always treated stephano very well, paying him everything (salary, trips, journey in korea). I can't understand what can be better, if he was in EG or Col or whatever. Actually if Stephano leaves Millenium I would feel really betrayed. But it's my opinion.
Anyway this issue is, as always, getting to much attention and is snowballing into another drama. Lwl is a great manager (It's impossible to deny this) he tries to manage his tournament as well as possible, taking care of players's comfort (bracket without cross server, fast paced tournament to avoid players waiting etc...) and he gets two forfeits without any notification, which one is from his own player. It's obvious he'll be bored about it.
Now there is nothing more to say, because this issue will be solved between Stephano and lwl as the adult they are and that's it. Why immediately expect Stephano to leave his team and jump on how unprofessional his manager is. This is beyond me.

americans only know eg, team liquid, and complexity
if you aren't in an US team, you are in a very subtop team(for them)

I've got the feelin that stephano is gonna leave Millenium pretty soon... TT

Strange how a manager lashes out like that. 0o.

Obviously NOW everyone following the scene knows who he is but his profile has grown solely due to his awesome results. No. Not to be a dick, but look at your TL join date vs. mine. I can assure you, that play and notoriety dictates everything. Idra? Maybe not the best right now but still pulling in a tonne of viewers. Stephano? Easily the best non Korean player right now, tonnes of viewers.' Team Liquid membership doesn't dictate everything, they promote Stephano regardless if they like it or not by showing his stream, advertising his upcoming tournaments - etc.
Sorry but you are being a dick. What the hell does my join date got to do with anything I posted? Nothing. I have been lurking at TL for about 2 years before joining. So what? You have been at TL for 10 years. All that proves is that you are more than 10 years old. Well done. Am I talking about Brood War? No.
Look at the number of articles on this website about Nony, Sheth, Ret and now Zenio etc. They have even got a Liquid Team News section tallking exclusively about Liquid members. An entire article about Nony about to play in Lone Star Clash. It is evident that Team Liquid Players are extensively promoted in this website. And rightly so. It is hardly controversial to state the obvious. Not sure why you would even object to the statement.
Of course others Teams players are promoted here too. I never said otherwise. However it is unarguable that being a member of Team Liquid gets you more articles and attention here. Do you really think joining Liquid has not given Haypro a boost in his profile here? His profile here is higher than is attributable to his results. Are you denying that Hero's profile in the Foreign scene received a large boost after joining Team Liquid?
Team Liquid promote their own players a lot here, as they should. How can you even dispute this?

Stephano and his manager need to talk about what happened regarding the reasons for the forfeit. This probably should be done before publicly castigating the player and calling him uneducated. Of course if Stephano has no suitable reason for the forfeit/lack of notification then the manager is within his rights to express his ire and disatisfaction. Both Player and Team have obligations to each other and should respect these.
At this moment in time, Stephano is in a strong situation because he is now very popular, at the top of his game and thus in demand. While I am very happy for him to continue at Millenium, I think the Team need him more than the other way around at this point. A public fallout between Stephano and Millenium is in no-ones interests, except possibly other Teams who may be circling.
Let's wait and see what the given explanation turns out to be.

Wow, the amount of ignorant people here asking for Stephano to leave Millenium is stupidly high.

I don't give a damn what stephano does, I love the kid
