The Shattered Temple 1.1 68.8% (11-5)
This is just for january, right ? Seems odd to me that he took 4 games off Polt in January, but definitely possible. However in his last results it was more like au 1-6 w/l ratio (1-4 in Assembly, then 0-2 in MSI #7.
I think a comparison of his results against foreigners vs his results vs koreans would also be interesting. But nice job anyway

Apparently MC was interviewed at IEM and he said that DRG and Stephano 'are almost the same'. Not seen it yet myself, but it just backs up the high opinion of Stephano recently given by Nestea. No doubt the Stephano haters will attempt to twist MC's words to claim MC was talking about music taste or sense of humour rather than SC2 ability.

I second this. good job and i'd like to see a comparison against what Koreans have done. If you do that, because Koreans don't play as often, maybe you could look at his stats over a three month horizon rather than a one month one.

That's a pretty big compliment given that DRG may be the best player in the world at the moment. I'm sure some would disagree with MC's take, but I don't

There ZvP actually look alot alike. DRG just plays abit more around with Mutas. But DRG ZvT is miles ahead of Stephano atm

I have no link but it was discussed in the IEM Day 4 thread (Friday's thread).

DRG's zvt is definitely better than Stephano's although I think the changes Stephano needs to make are tweaks rather than large changes. (Polt suggested his weaknesses lie in his late game transitions; that seems to make some sense to me.) I'm not saying you're doing this, but people have tended to overstate his struggles v T given that Stephano just crushed Puma and was ahead in two of the four games he lost against Polt. That said, DRG is still much better than Stephano at the match up.

The point is that Stephano didn't train his TvZ for a very very very long time (also due to the lack of good Terrans players in EU) whereas DRG can practice it every day with the best Terran players in the world . I don't think there is any comparisons that can be made between this two players atm . Maybe later if Stephano go back to Korea in april or if he finds a good Terran player to practice his ZvT .

These numbers are based on games from january, february and a bit of march, but there serve only as an exemple. A more sensible time period would be either patch by patch or 3 to 6 months horizon. I'll do it.
What do you think about the easy/even/hard classification btw? Is a minimum of 10 games enough? Are the limits (<35% winrate for easy, etc) well placed?
Regarding the stats against koreans I'll have to consider the country of origin of the players, which I've not done so far so it could take some time to do. Comparing stats between two players if easy enough though.

I hope Stephano's trip to the US with will be sucessfull. No offense to whitera but he should win the showmatch at least. Concerning the other tournament i'm afraid he will hit a wall against Korean terrans. I don't think you can win a major tournament if you're not confident against Korean terrans. But who knows, it's Stephano and anything is possible.
