DRG spawns in the top right of Whirlwind and Naniwa spawns on the bottom right. Artosis then calls all DRG fans traitors. Very standard openings other than Naniwa making the first gateway right next to his Nexus. DRG throws down his third hatch around 5:30 minutes, but Naniwa is applying some early pressure and kills the third right as it goes up. DRG gets a great surround on Naniwa's forces, but loses a lot of lings in the process and puts up his third hatch again. Naniwa transitions into a blink, plus 2 timing. Naniwa attacks around 11:30 with a lot of stalkers. DRG surrounds the stalkers very well, but Blink is a great upgrade. Naniwa kills DRG's third hatch again at the 13 minute mark. Naniwa keeps reinforcing and DRG just doesnt have the units and is forced to GG. Naniwa 1-0

DRG 14 pools and then makes his second hatch at his third because Naniwa's probe is patrolling where DRG would place his hatchery at his natural. Naniwa is going for some stargate play. DRG has an overlord that barely misses the scout of the stargate, but then seconds later the voidray kills the same overlord. Naniwa throws down 7 gates and is going to do a 2 base timing. DRG's creep sees Naniwa's probe and he knows its coming. DRG picks off some sentry and stalker reinforcements for free. The battle then ensues and the void rays get charged, but DRG flanks and demolishes the attack of naniwa. DRG looks to be in a beautiful position at this point. Naniwa is trying to tech up, DRG is going for spire. Naniwa tries to take a third, but DRG forces a cancel. DRG kills basically all of Naniwa's stalkers, before the mutas come. The Mutas then arrive and Naniwa GGs. Series tied 1-1

The third map is Entombed Valley, which is DRG's least favorite map. DRG goes hatch first and Naniwa goes 1 gate FE. Naniwa is planning for some early pressure, but DRG kills the probe, a stalker and 4 zealots with his speed lings. DRG gets his third up then Naniwa starts to take his third, but DRG runs in with lings, almost forcing a cancel, but Naniwa plays it brilliantly and kills all the lings without losing anything. DRG starts a fourth base and is going for drops. DRG has a lot of roaches and loads them into overlords and drops all of them into the natural of naniwa but the attack is held, although DRG did killed 14 probes. Naniwa moves out at the 16 minute mark with charge zealot-archon, however, DRG gets sick fungals on the forces of Naniwa, but the Swedish Protoss player has superior upgrades keeping him in the fight. DRG has a lot of spine crawlers, though and Naniwa backs up, reinforces and sits at the xel naga tower. DRG then decides we wants to engage, throws down infested terrans, kills all of Naniwa's immortals and Naniwa retreats back to his base. DRG techs to greater spire, then DRG attacks Naniwa outside his natural, lands great fungals and shows good micro and takes another base at the same time. DRG gets brood lords out and DRG drops banelings on all of Naniwas probes in his natural. The fight happens right after, DRG over extends with his brood lords, but still kills everything and Naniwa GGs. DRG 2-1.

DRG goes hatch first again and Naniwa decides to go gate, core, gas, then expand. DRG sees and will get early speed. Naniwa opts for Stargate play again, getting a phoenix first. DRG saw the stargate before it even completed and will be ready for it. DRG makes 6 spores and has a lot of queens already out. Naniwa takes a third, DRG tries to force a cancel, and this time DRG does succeed and then kills a sentry with the same lings, but they did all die. DRG does get a lot of hyrdas and lings out, and tries to force an attack at Naniwas third. DRG succeeds in getting his fight and kills all of Naniwa's sentries and most of his army including the phoenixes. DRG then switches to mutas. naniwa is on three saturated bases and DRG is on four. Naniwa blinks under DRG's mutas and kills quite a few. DRG has some gorgeous fungals on a lot of Naniwas stalkers. DRG has a lot of spine crawlers, infestors and lings. Somehow Naniwa breaks past, but DRG traps Naniwa in his base, unfortunately Naniwa has to much and DRG GGs. Series Tied 2-2

DRG hatch first again. Naniwa with the gateway next to his main Nexus again as well. Naniwa expands and then throws down a forward pylon right outside DRG's natural and he doesnt see it. Naniwa makes 3 more gates (four in total) and moves out with zealots and a stalker. DRG THEN SCOUTS THE PYLON!!!!!!! So Naniwa is forced to make another right outside the third of DRG. DRG cleans up the forces very nicely. DRG then maxes on roaches and pushes the front of Naniwa, but the engagement doesnt go well for our zerg player. There are a few more very close engagements that lead up to the final battle where Naniwa pulls a lot of probes with the army, hes all in and DRG gets some good fungals, Naniwa blinks onto the roaches, but DRG pushes it back. This is an incredible game. DRG gets an ultralisk den, gets some ultras out runs toward the xel naga tower and Naniwa loses the final battle and is forced to GG. DRG then chugs a Hot Six like a boss. He will face MC in the round of 4. DRG!!!!!!!
