I'd settle for a bo5 showmatch, would donate the hell out of it.

Is he gonna compete in gsl?
|
He says he won't consider going pro again unless he reaches rank 1 GM on Korea. He's currently Masters 1 with ~5200 MMR.
|
Well hes playing not bad and his splits are great like always but he really is playing the old terran style atm :D
|
Actually with a surprising amount of success! He'll need to change up his builds for some matchups, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the playstyles he's bringing make a comeback.
The Hellbat/Tank playstyle from HotS could easily make its way into some longer TvT series, particularly with his execution.

lets hope he makes #1 gm on korea then... pro scene could some 'new' faces. been the same guys for years and its getting boring. theres no other esport where there is literally ever a new player rising to the top. not even to the middle...

btw, am i the only one surprised about how little viewers mvp gets? considering his legendary status i expected thousands of people tuning in just like when stephano or scarlett stream. 400 or 500 seems pityful.

That's a pretty common thing, though. People prefer to have some level of interactivity with the streamer, like understanding commentary, being able to read the majority of chat messages etc. .
But yeah, I agree, he's just the GOAT of SC2 to me, so please sign me up here

Mvp just isn't that high level yet, his "legendary" status isn't enough to make 1000+ people watch a mid-master player. Doesn't surprise me at all tbh.

The grind has slowed down a bit, but he's now at ~5350 MMR, which puts him just below the MMR for Korean GM- he's slowly getting somewhere.
|
ecstatic to see him playing again! Very nice. Seems like he wants to learn it all by himself, so no speed learning from watching other pros to catch up.

Byun is entertaining with his over agressive style and kind of GSL music playlist

Mvp is now Korean Grandmaster!
He's still playing his own style and crushing with it on the back of his natural skill- e.g. mass marauders TvP, etc.
|
My man, back in the saddle again!
|
It's really funny to watch Mvp. He's playing LOTV with his old style. And GM. How he manages his units is something totally differente from anyone else.

He's not been active for almost four years. Anyone joining the scene after that will never have seen him play live. Foreigners are more likely to get viewers than Koreans. He's not playing at the top level. Mvp was known for being the best player. If he streams without being close to that, he might be lacking what made him attractive to viewers in the first place. A lot of people watch Innovation, because he's good and a top player. Not because he's interactive.

His macro is still so good; it's amazing he's still got the form he has after all this time.
|
He was streaming earlier today :D
|
He's currently playing the Mass Ghost, multi-pronged drop and nuke harass TvZ style he did back in WCG and Blizzcon 2011- except with Liberators and against very surprised opponents.
