I think he did really damn well for himself this tournament and proved that you really really have to stop counting him out as washed up. i do wish he could find the time to get the treatments he needs though, no one is gonna forget him.

Mvp certainly put up an amazing fight today. Mvp vs. INnoVation was not a series between the best StarCraft 2 player and a washed up injured champion... Mvp did not pull out scrappy wins. Mvp fought toe to toe with INnoVation, every step of the way... The true winner of the series was Mr. Hellbat. It frustrated me... I thought that Mvp displayed much more skill than INnoVation (especially the engagements, macro, decision making except for game 5, grit, and even micro...), but INnoVation was superior when it came to Hellbat dropping. And it did, almost every single game. I really don't like to make excuses for Mvp's losses... but that is what I sincerely feel. Mvp needs to brush up on his Hellbat dropping and defending... then he can beat INnoVation.

It's true I'd love to rewatch some of his best moments. Like MLG Providence when he came back through loser bracket to sweep MC 3-0 in extended serie, beating many player only to lose against Leenock with the first game being one of the best of all times, the first time the full air zerg lategame comp with queen was introduced to the world by Leenock at arguably his best in the ZvT match up. The insane story of GSL S2 for his first come back at the top of the SC2 scene crushing the protosses favorites only to make it barely over Squirtle. I mean he pretty much took for himself the only period in SC2 when the protosses were dominating hard. The IEM he won was a good story for me as well, the fight for the terran against the overwhelming zerg which ended in the incredible finals of GSL S4.

It brings a little iota of comfort to me! xD The King will return, again and again, again and again, again and again. Right now, INnoVation looks strong, amazing in fact. In three months, INnoVation will look strong, but not like he's miles ahead of everyone. In six months, INnoVation will probably be a top player, but perhaps a new "best player in the world" will step up in the next WCS seasons. In one year, it is highly doubtful that INnoVation will be the best... perhaps Flash will catch up. In two years, perhaps INnoVation will be a fairly decent Terran. In two years, Mvp will be exactly the same - chugging along, taking a championship here and there, looking down and out and then picking himself up, always a threat, always impressing, always doubted, always winning.

Now if he chokes hard it would make us Terrans look bad. That series went to show innovation doesn't stand toe to toe against mvp in a macro game, though he pulled up a lucky transition in game 1

I've never really called myself an MVP fan while he was dominating tournament after tournament, racking up all those golden pins. Yet now, he loses a series... but a feeling stirs inside of me. I feel inspired. Thank you, MVP. You have made me a fan.
