Also, you will get cheesed useless you can show you can hold them off. LoSirA used to get 2 raxxed all the time because he couldn't handle them. Same with Stephano's 11-12 min max roach vs EU Protoss. If they can't beat it, he will use it over and over again...

This shows what a genius mvp is. Mvp may not have upperhand in terms of mechanics, but in terms of intelligence, he is many levels above his opponent. In the perspective of viewers who have little knowledge about the game, what he did was 3 cheese, but what they failed to see the is amount of intelligence Mvp displayed such as innovation of playstyles, tailoring his build to suit his opponent as well the amount of courage and braveness displayed, Mvp is definitely not a cheesy player, there are multiple championships to back that up, however he will not hesitate to execute a build that gives him the best chance to win against a player, in naniwa's case it is early aggression. When a player can win games by outsmarting his opponents even though his condition caused him to have inferior mechanics, this person is a true champion. To all those QQers, starcraft2 is not a game all about mechanics, intelligence also plays a huge part.

I know right, all it takes it to see few games of Naniwa and you see that he really loves to cut corners in early game. Mvp studied Naniwa's playstyle and punished him for it.

I wonder how much practice Mvp really put into this match considering his trip to china and the apparent hospital visit, not to mention needing to rest in general.

I was convinced Naniwa was going to win just because he had been practicing 60 games a day since he found out who his opponent was. On paper he should have been able to win the series, but I guess It's not always that simple.

Well, Naniwa also went to dreamhack after ro16. Also, Eventhough MVP's condition probably doesn't allow him to continuously play game after game, it doesn't mean he isn't studying replays of Naniwa's games or his own games and coming up with builds, strategies.

I think this is why there is so much hype for the BW pros. It isn't just about mechanics. It is about the practice regime, coaching and strategy sessions. That is why I think you see a lot of former BW B teasers doing well. Maybe they did not have tip top mechanics but they used their BW practice regime and mindset to help them in sc2. I think that if you ask the sc2 players, a lot of sc2 teams are developing their practice regime to be like BW teams.
