Wonder where he will be going, the west or the east.
If you are not supporting K-Pop you are hurting E-Sports.

Fnatic as the money, the house in Korea and no bad relationship past. Any other team would be a big surprise.

I'm having the same thoughts and fears as Ladyumbra, I must admit. All this speculation as to what team he'll go to next just shows how little people consider him as anything but a Starcraft 2 robot with no feelings or need for motivation. I'm wondering if he's thinking about quitting.

Not saying it's so. I hope it's not so and that he still has that drive to continue reaching for the top, because I know I'd be quite a lot less interested in the pro SC2 scene with my favourite player gone from it. But most of all I hope Johan decides to do what's best for him in the long term. Sometimes we lose perspective of what's really important in life.

I wish I knew wtf he twas tweeting right now ( google translate is so shoddy I don't trust it). I mean I don't care if it's just random personal stuff or drama I just want to know if he seems ok .

On a slighty amusing note Clutch posted in the reddit thread about this and having to revise his player intro notes again which I thought was kinda cute.

Thanks waterflow ^-^. He seems to be in good enough spirits which is encouraging. Whatever happens I'm sure he'll figure out what suits him best.

@ Gothic: I don't want him to quit because I hate the idea of him giving up on himself. Kinda like how I worry about Huk when he gets super depressed in his tweets. I want the players I like to be happy as people just as much as I want them to suceed as competitors.

"Whenever you're dealing with a competitive mindset and people who, I call it being locked in, people who get locked in to a vision, that's it man, that's their drive, that's their passion. Critics don't matter, this don't matter, they're gonna do whatever it fucking takes, to be the best at what they do. Most people in society will NEVER understand that, because they've never had passion about anything. People who've had passion about things and worked their ass off for it will totally get it." - Dave Tate.

That's why I respect NaNi. Best of luck, I'm sure everything will work out great in the end.

David Tate is talking about powerlifting and how people do not understand why they do it. Powerlifters sacrifice their health, they look funny and they won't get rich or recognized like many other athletes. But it doesn't matter, because they only care about being the strongest.

It has nothing to do with Naniwa having no manners or respect for his opponents. He could be the same player he is but nicer. However, he chooses to be a douchebag. I would almost bet you that if he learned some respect, he would be less likely to crumble down when he loses.

But it's his choice of course.

Hey Nani, I just wanted to say that I hope you do well with or without a team, and I also hope you and Sase can work it out. From what I understand you have both been very important to each other, and even if you go separate ways I think you'd both be better off if you could do so on friendly terms. Let go of whatever grudge you might have, and just forgive.
But I don't know any details so... you'll know what to do Nani.

I get the feeling people in the community are way too liberal with whom they call "douchebag" these days. Naniwa can be bluntly honest to the point of being disrespectful and he can act like a bit of a jerk sometimes, but thumbing down Nestea and balance whining when loosing to JonnyREcco does not a douchbag make.

He does do stupid stuff sometimes, but the amount of crap he gets from people in the community is not proportionate to how he acts. As soon as he does well in the GSL again, some of the very people who have been whining about him will go "I used to hate him but now I don't, sign me up in the fanclub" (just look at some of the comments in this thread).

Critizise Naniwa for his behaviour all you want, but there's a difference between critizism and bandwagon hate.

Perhaps so, but I am talking about Naniwa. I don't know about the others.

Welcome to the New Teamliquid.
