I can understand her accent just fine hence why I can appreciate what she brings as a caster, it is quite refreshing instead of having Tastosis every single game. Guessing those rednecks with their southern drawl don't understand her accent because it is different from their own and hence dislike her regardless of her informative and observant casting. I've been known to be one of her biggest naysayers and I would like to address the following: - I'm not a redneck - I'm not from the South Last time I checked, this is supposed to be a fan club for her, so can you leave that shit out of it?  .Kelly puts in a lot of time and effort to add depth to the casts which she is a part of and I think this is great. Kelly spends a lot of time watching replays of the players of whom she will be casting to get some background knowledge of their playing style and other interesting little points. I think this is great. Kelly also discusses some points during a game that Artosis or Tasteless would not normally comment on. Kelly puts in a lot of time towards SC2 and the SC community, thanks for the contribution. | ||

I mostly stay away from this whole debate but what irked me is reading her response about how she is mostly ignoring the feedback she's receiving because that tells me she's not going to work on her enunciation. Again to use the previous examples it's like someone getting a professional spot on a team and saying, I don't want to practice. I simply don't understand how this criticism can possibly be invalid in the light of the fact that to be understood is the focal point of her job. User was temp banned for this post. | ||

The South is a state of mind, I live in Cali and believe you me, we have plenty of 'South' out here. It's sorta like those "you know you're a redneck if" jokes - You know you're a redneck if you show up on an Internet fan club to criticize a Singapore-born caster working in Korea for not sounding American enough. Or maybe a better analogy is the Tea Party in America. I can't prove that they're all racist, but if it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, well then.... And btw, if you're one of her biggest naysayers, then wtf are you doing in this thread anyway? Doesn't she have to deal with enough of you people everywhere else in the internet? Maybe you misread the title, but this is a fan club. If you're not a fan then maybe you should GTFO? ok, /rantover, I actually came to this thread after watching GSL games from last night to remark how much more comfortable Kelly seems than last week. She's really a very insightful caster, and seems to make the correct predictions for these games about 500% as often as Tastosis. My favorite team though was Kelly/Tasteless. Its a shame we're not going to get to see more of them! I'm still on the fence about Doa, he seems sort of...plain. | ||
