This confirms to me that GOM likely picked a female caster for the"lonely nerds" who watch the GSL. If this is the case, than any attractive female caster would have prompted the same response throughout the Starcraft II community. People would have liked the caster because she was a female gamer and would have posted some of the same comments. However, there are many other female casters out there who are not only attractive (which shouldn't be the main reason to hire someone), but also very knowledgeable. In this case, we would get the best of both worlds. More diversity in the game and great commentary to boot. Right now, I'm surprised how willing people are to accept Kelly based on her looks alone, and are not more critical of her casting ability. Someone made the point that anyone would "look good" next to Tasteless and Artosis, and I feel that this is true. They would make you look good, because they're just so experienced and great at what they do. I bought a Season pass so that I could hear intelligent game commentary, infused with that some great Starcraft humor. I have to say that I look forward to Code S, but am more apprehensive about Code A. I think Erik is doing a fantastic job and I'm all for his casting. I'm just not sure he can compensate for what I believe is a lack of casting ability from Kelly. User was banned for this post. | ||

It seems that a large part of her defense is based on the fact she's a girl. Is that supposed to mean she is not going to be objectively criticised as anybody else would? Yep, because a big number of teenager users in TL fantasize with the concept of gamer girls. I've seen several of her casts for the latest code A matches for the GSL and quite frankly, I don't get what is that alleged 'deep knowledge' of the game everybody keeps yapping about. She doesn't say anything deep or revealing whatsoever. Not even close to tasteless+artosis, let alone day9. I'd be saying the same thing if it were a 'Ken' and not a 'Kelly'. You fanboys should all make a big charity fundraiser to pay her some emergency intensive english lessons so her ''engrish' can be digested. User was temp banned for this post. | ||

I agree with Suvorv and I would like to see an honest discussion about her casting ability, instead of fan worship without being critical. I think Erik is a great counter point because he allows us (the viewers) to see what a caster can be, so that we do not just have to accept someone who doe not have much ability casting IMHO. | ||

People don't seem to understand the fan club concept... People don't get how awful it is to have Kelly + Show Spoiler + (any caster by the way) i do hope us eu fans will still get our vods' treat of Kelly  ing the male gamers/castersKelly Please keep at it + Show Spoiler + and ignore haters.. or corporate cop offs/bad experience  Kelly Fightiiiiiiinnnnnggggg | ||

I enjoyed her casting Code A. Her strategic knowledge is better than mine. I did not find her difficult to understand. I don't think her voice "improved or got better", that's such a backhanded compliment. My only comment about her appearance, I'm very impressed with GOM's hair and makeup people, because they've done a fantastic job with Tasteless, lilsusie, Artosis, and kellymilkies. Either on further SEA or GOM events, hopefully I can catch her casting again. | ||

I am not insulting an entire spectrum of people, nor am I being stereotypical. I am directly addressing Kelly and her casting, not all Singaporeans, not the nation of Singapore, and most certainly my key points are not based on stereotypes. I think it's actually you who needs to read other people's posts carefully and thus reply accordingly. The only stereotypical thing that I've mentioned, witnessed and acknowledge, is the way facts go out the window in favour of fanatism, but hey, we're in the fanclub thread so, I can't complain about that. | ||

in my opinion she obviuosly has alot of knowledge about the game. her english is good and easy to understand. and if you mind her accent, you are probably and idiot. edit add me to the supporter list | ||

Although I still don't think that Kelly is a top caster, I can tell that she put a lot of effort to improve. That in itself shows that she has a passion and is interested in doing her best! I think that's a really commendable thing and she should be praised for it. | ||
