I'd love to see a showmatch between MC and WhiteRa, or something without the everything or nothing prize money situation. They have provided us with the best pvp I've ever seen, with all the crazy warp prisms, blink stalkers, robo tech and stuff. Removing the stress of the money would probaby even make it more epic.

If you were a bit disappointed in seeing how big MC's balls were GTFO. GET OUT. This is his fanclub. Why are you here discussing your personal disappointment in how he won?
Don't come in here disguising your backhanded compliments by respecting "his skill and proffesional approach to the game."
A showmatch without money on the line does not mean shit. They are practice games. A champion like MC is not a dancing monkey for your amusement.
You should have posted in the LR thread. Not here.

You respect White-Ra for wanting to show good games, but he does the same opening 5 games in a row? MC opens differently every game and came back from 0:2, surely this is a better show of good game?

It's the stress of money that makes it more exciting because you know they are playing to win. Remove money so that they play for your entertainment and you remove the incentive to win.

It's called REAL TIME STRATEGY for a reason. If you can't appreciate strategy maybe star-craft is not for you? I personally think move was genius and made it entertaining. If I want 1 hour macro games I'll go ladder with my sorry self who can't really formulate strategy and it's just enough to keep up with macro and A move (actually T because I use grid)..No I watch the best because they do it all. Strategy, macro, micro, scouting at another level and MC is another level above that obviously.

Why would you be in his fan club if you are "disappointed in him"? If you wanted an epic final game, blame WhiteRa for cutting corners in every single game to greedily get whatever advantage he could over an opponent everyone knows (even if they don't want to admit) is superior. He won the games that MC tried to sit back and have "epic games" by playing exceptionally greedy (yes, expanding and teching is greedy in PvP because there was a large timing window where MC could've slaughtered him and he prayed it didn't happen). When MC decided to not let WhiteRa cut corners, WhiteRa lost 3 straight games. Then people cried that MC played aggressively. Herp derp better let my opponent do whatever he wants to be blatantly unsafe just for the sake of pleasing some idiotic "GOTTA HAVE A 50 MINUTE PvP FOR THE FINAL GAME EVEN THOUGH MOST PvPs ARE UNDER TEN MINUTES" mentality.
Don't blame MC for doing whatever he could do to win, when WhiteRa was doing the same even if he said "he cares more about community support". That somehow magically makes him better in foreigner eyes than MC, ignoring how interactive MC has been with the international scene opposed to every other Korean.
Everyone talking about the difference between playing to show good games and playing to win money... It's PvP. Playing to win, pretty much is the only way to show "good games".

How so? Of course it doesn't include salary, it's a prizemoney ranking, and it is correct. The open seasons were ~80k for 1st, but the Code S seasons are half as much.
I love that he tweeted about the crowd response to his ace match against White-Ra at Dreamhack. Some may say it's not professional but to me, it speaks volumes about how much he cares about his fans as well as his image to the rest of the SC community. MC is trying hard to appeal to the foreign crowd. He takes his foreigner opponents super seriously and he's even picked up enough English to express what he means to the best of his ability to the non-Korean community. Dude is a champ in my eyes, both in skill and demeanor.

Agreed. Sure, his tweet wasn't the most "professional" thing, but he definitely kept it classy. He stayed away from insulting anyone, and simply explained his thought process behind his decision to proxy in a civil way. It's good to see that he really cares a lot about what the foreign community thinks.
Sign me up! MC is such a boss! He isn't only mechanically strong and using diverse builds in all match-ups, he is also an strategic player who analyzes what's going on and taking advantage of any weakness of his opponent!
Guys, people are allowed to disagree with stuff MC has said/done. I think we are allowed to discuss it as well. Being a fan of a player =/= blindly approving of everything that player does.
PHC, you're telling someone to "GET THE FUCK OUT" because he didn't feel the last game was particularly epic, and he wanted to see an epic one. Really?
SilverLeagueElite - you think that that same person shouldn't be allowed to post in the fanclub because he said: "Not my favorite player, but I can respect his skill and proffesional approach to the game."
Believe it or not, you can be a fan without being a fanatic about it.
I've noticed something similiar in IdrA's fanclub thread. Someone says the SLIGHTEST thing negative - he's immediately branded a troll and told to get out.
Come on guys. Excessive negativity or flaming should obviously not be tolerated, but the people who aren't as fanatical about MC as you are, have just as much right to be a part of this fanclub as you do.
(And in case you're wondering, yes, I fully support MC's decision making in all 5 games and think it's ridiculous that he has to defend himself from idiotic haters.)
