I feel that mutas are the only unit that stop Terran from aggressively expanding, and that when Terrans face infestors, they should expand everywhere. What does Zerg have to destroy a planetary at that point?

Normally, when I see a planetary go down, I usually ignore it and go straight for their nat or main where there is a orbital. Using Xel Naga for example, there is a path towards the natural u can path your zerglings and harass their scvs. Engaging a heavily fortified planetary filled with siege tanks, I believe, is suicide.

idra has/can stream while he is banned. it just he will be able to comment on forums again. but he already said on a sotg appearance that he think the TL forums have gone to "shit" and for the most part wont be posting again.

i think he is choosing to not stream for a few reasons.

1. he doesnt need to
2. he just came back from vacation in canada
3. he is in between moving and currently staying at sirscoots house along with a lot of EG members
4. some big tournaments coming up doesnt want to give away "special tatics"?

In the Carmac interview Idra says most of the Koreans hate him, but I wonder if players like July, who also believes zerg is underpowered, have a different opinion of him.

Im pretty sure his opinions on balance aren't why most koreans dislike him

I can tell you that he has special tactics stored for Protoss for the MLG. It's no crazy all-in or anything, just a cool new take on the MU.

Idra is playing spot on against fenix. He is actually getting infestors and broodlords and is looking really great. I hope he adopts more infestor heavy play against terran more often. I feel like he is sort of one dimensional against terran with ling/bling muta. First game against fenix looked really good from idra though

What? That was his standard zvt...

Nicely played so far today by IdrA. Hopefully he can finish it off strong in game 2 and against either TT1 or SeleCT.

Idra usually tried to just power through with ling/bling muta. I've never really seen him tech up to broods or get infestors. He stated he doesnt like broods because they are too slow

IdrA has been using Infestors in his ZvT for quite some time.. He just goes Mutas first because it fits his multitasking a bit better and he believes he can make them work better then Infestors. Plus, map control.

Also, he did indeed make that statement, however it was for ZvP, not ZvT.

Mutas first is great. DRG does muta before infestors from what I've seen.

i havent seen a good zerg skip mutas tbh

The Koreans dislike him because his disrepectful. In Korea respect is a big thing, saying gg and stuff. It's not that he believes zerg is underpowered.

Anyways, loved the interview. Carmac always have interesting questions.

-.- Yea but thats operating under the assumption that Destiny is a good zerg. Don't get me wrong, he's miles ahead of me, but still behind IdrA and the rest of the top zergs.

Destiny beat Bomber 2-1

Edit: I don't think you can beat a top korean without being a good zerg, per se.

IdrA has said that fast Infestors/Mutas to Infestors is a personal choice. The problem I have with Fast Infestors is the lack of aggressive options you can do. But neither of them are proven to be "bad" yet.

mutas are also better for dealing with drops, but infestors are far superior when it comes to actual fights
