Don't get me wrong, i think coming from multiple directions with split forces all timed to box stuff in is cool and a strategy that should be utilized more, but this particular video really doesn't seem impressive to me at all.. The Protoss clearly has vision of the huge ball of banelings rolling in from the side(thanks to them running straight past the gold expand) and he just keeps his ball sitting there waiting to be demolished...

That was a really fun game to watch and to look back on it is nothing negative. Lol? I asked a question. To repeat myself - Why is this surround in particular so special? Considering the protoss sits in a terrible spot and does nothing whatsoever?

He seems to be constantly improving, so he must be getting some quality practice, yet he seems to smash everyone on the US ladder without effort. Is it purely from playing custom games, or does he have alternate accounts on the EU and KR ladders where he maybe has more competition? I dont see him improving as much as he has since returning from Korea purely from nerdstomping people on the US ladder. From my somewhat educated guess: I'm pretty sure that at night he has team practices with EG, as I've heard iNcontrol talk about someones and seen him stream. Besides that I know he sticks to ladder but also complains that laddering isn't much help to him since he steam rolls everyone :p. But besides that maybe just random games against other top teir players? I'd like some more information on it too.

The surround was awesome to watch on the stream and a great way to emphasize how very outplayed the protoss was. Now go troll some other fanclub.

Even if you're not going to be able to watch it please still turn the stream on so we all get to enjoy IdrA's commentary in the coming up week!

So its simply just the the fact that he split the units up and timed them well? not that the move gave him an actual edge over having just a moved the banelings forward, which seemingly would have worked, looking at how the protoss played in the video? If he did a similar surround which gave him an edge in battle over someone who was actually doing something, then of course it would be awesome. Way to go in assuming that i'm 'trolling' considering i just asked a question, and explained why it didn't personally make sense to me.
