The gifting of wins was during practice within the team, not on ladder. It's not like he let idrA win all the time, but it was noted that idrA absolutely hated losing to Demu, and to ease the tension when Demu was on a winning streak against him, he'd gift some wins to idrA. It helped get rid of the awkwardness. Possibly the most insulting thing you could ever say to a player is that you let them win... I don't like to gossip and speculate about player relationships, but I also feel that Demuslim was in the wrong. So supposedly IdrA thought he was bad practice and thought he and his girlfriend were annoying... Fair enough, Demuslim said IdrA was polite about it and didn't lash it at all. Some tension builds and their relationships strains - that's normal, happens all the time.
But then Demuslim goes out in public, behind IdrA's back, to not only troll him, but to talk shit about him. He goes on stream and flames IdrA, when he never had the balls to say anything to his face. IdrA never even mentioned his "dislike" of Demuslim before then. If it's true that IdrA never really liked him, then IdrA remained incredibly professional about it - we, obviously, didn't hear him insult Demuslim at all. The fans knew nothing about it until Demuslim cried and acted like an ass on stream... Then he pretends like he's in the right and that his trolling is justified afterward. How fucking smug.

Yeah man, look he rage quit his stream after the last game and everything.
..
No he didn't, he'd said he was leaving after already. But I bet had I left it there someone'd have gone "lol really?" and remembered that part of it.
He just didn't play it out great (and explained why and what he should have done after) and Greg read and responded to it better. They're both competitive players and they play a game where one of them has to lose. Making it about throwing or qq-ing or their personal relationship cheapens them both.

To clear things up, maybe not to let him win, but to at least play his style. To play the standard game Idra is used to. I'm not sure if he did that but that is more what I meant by the old EG members giving Idra the edge, as in not doing anything out of the text book that Idra didn't know how to counter. The games I enjoy are the ones that are hard to tell, but Idra seems to hate those yet Huk seems to love them and I'm not sure about Demuslim but it seems with Idra if they give him his style of game, kind of cater to him where he doesn't have to worry about any surprises then maybe that's why it seemed like such an easy win. Just a guess tho..
It seemed like back when idra and huk where rivals, anything could happen in their games, it was glorious! But once they became team members, it seemed stale and standard and I remember their first tournaments after huk joined EG (if I remember correctly anyway) Idra won convincingly because it seemed Huk didn't want to do anything out of Idra's comfort zone to really make a game of it, just standard macro (and more often than not, boring) game. Totally speculating obviously, I just can't imagine his old team mates giving it their all against someone who was booted at such an early stage since his release.

Although I've been on TL longer than my post count would indicate, I had not until now seen ANY of IdrA's streams. That moment of shame having passed, I can say I'm enjoying what I see.
I will certainly be donating to support him pursuing what he loves and what he's clearly skilled in. Although this might seem a strange time given recent events, I've just become a fan and am now following the stream. This is the kind of content I've been looking for, and I'm not referring to the rage.
Best of luck to you and yours IdrA! We're here for you.

What did Demuslim say on stream?
Edited out "When did this happen?" Pretty sure I know when just never knew what was said.

could you guys stop talking about this stupid nonsense here.. holy shit.. no one fucking cares about what demu does...

Everyone who's watched IdrA's stream knows exactly what DeMuslim is talking about. Whenever they played each other, they would start with some awkward conversations about game balance, then nothing would really happen, and after 10 minutes, DeMuslim would do some poorly executed drop, get denied and gg out of the game while still on one base.

Every time Demuslim has talked about Idra, he has made it perfecty clear that he holds no grudge against him. I don't even like Demuslim (he focuses way too much on streaming instead of becoming a serious competitor) but every time he has talked about Idra he has been a perfect gentleman, and obviously holds no grudges against Greg.

I'm just talking about the particular incident that caused all the IdrA-Demuslim drama in the community. Demuslim is a really manner guy - I'm saying that that stream session and his comments then were really uncalled for and unprofessional. IdrA never made any comments about their relationship and any tension, but Demuslim made it apparent and acted like a dick. And then he made IdrA out to be a villain, while trolling him in games.

since xbox added twitch to their app library, im watching greg on the big screen

So many fun quotes from Greg now that he's streaming and relaxing a bit more. "That makes it more less good... I guess an easier way of saying that would be 'worse'" ^_^
|
"maybe he is trying to play out this dumb bullshit of letting me win games" "just in case anyone believed that, of course it never happened"
so, could we stop the discussion now and forever, please?

At about 1 hour, 5 minutes - and then sporadically through this vod.
The community went nuts over this almost a month ago. After playing a few games, Demuslim tells streamers that he is better than IdrA and that IdrA needed to get used to it. He also says that he would "literally gift him wins to reduce tension" in the house. He promised his stream viewers that if he topped 10k concurrent viewership that he would do hellbat drops on IdrA, so IdrA just started leaving the games because Demuslim was just trolling him on stream instead of playing real games. Basically, Demuslim revealed to the community that they didn't like one another and said some kind of nasty things about their relationship - things that IdrA had kept private and didn't let the community know about.

How do you play against what Demuslim did? Basically Marine/Medivac/Hellbats. Greg seemed to have a good lead.
