I don't see any other reason why he shouldn't say Starcraft 2. It could also mean Broodwar; which while awesome probably wouldn't happen... but imagine the stream views of IdrA playing Broodwar Terran; especially after this whole incident.
That would be great. I have never played BW, I met starcraft after WoL was released, but IdrA playing BW Terran would not get that much attention I guess, at least on the long run. He would be the most popular active BW player that's for sure.

EG had to let him go to make it seem like they are punishing him for his behavior but probably behind closed doors just told him they are going to "fire" him for now and keep paying him his rent (which Incontrol confirmed on SOTG) and then just pick him back up in 6 months after he has cleaned up his image.
At least I hope so, IdrA is my favorite player and the only reason I got into SC2 and still follow the scene. Good luck to you IdrA with whatever you do in the future.

I have never been the greatest fan of IdrA, but he was still a special person to me. As a big fan of esports I understood his value that he brought to the scene. I also never felt offended by anything he said, not even his latest post, because to me that was just selling his brand. I just feel very sad that he lost his job and seems to be in such a dark place right now. As a huge EG fan it just does not feel right that he is not part of the team anymore. I wish him the very best for his future and hope that he stays in SCII.

I think this served as an eye-opener for Idra too. When he was on EG, he was getting less and less viewers, doing worse in tournaments, becoming more and more irrelevant.
However his news of leaving EG is the biggest e-sports news in years, bringing lots of old-time fans to comment on the whole situation. I think Greg realizes that there is a big force out there that wants him to push on. and I hope he can use this to turn his career around, truly become a world class competitor again. I think he will need to change some things to get there, but its not completely out of his reach.

I just hope IdrA doesn't switch to some lame MOBA... To be honest, this might be the perfect time for him to switch races, as he can fly under the radar a bit and start streaming again when he's in GM as Terran.
