There are almost always free spots but you have to be the #n Master in your region. People don't get autopromoted they need to have the rank then win a game.

If there are two open spots and there are two masters with 1250 and 1270 points which don't get in because they don't play you have to get at least 1251 points and then win a game to get in.

Check NA, EU and KR:

There are currently zero spots in NA, one in EU (saw someone on stream who was promoted just two days ago, for a short time there were 5 open spots) and 3 on korean server.

isnt getting in GM basedon MMR?
if so if there are a bunch of people all around the same skill level trying to get into GM then its all about who gets the right matchs in order to get there MMR at that point a bit faster then there comptetitors

If someone has higher points in Masters than another and both players have zero bonus pool the higher points guy has a higher MMR. For matching opponents there seems to be an MMR cap though as high masters who are not in GM face high grandmaster/high master all alike.

That last game was kind of lame. Destiny, CatZ and Minigun are all watching IdrA, and both Minigun and Destiny sniped him.
Destiny (watching IdrA's stream) told Minigun (playing against IdrA) to cannon a specific location where the cannon is protected by a single pylon.
Sniping is fine, whatever. That is flirting with cheating though. I suppose it's a risk you run into when you stream.

NP against Vikings, cool.

IdrA's play seems so much crisper compared to his ladder games in Korea. So much more scouting and map awareness.

haha you can say they are twins in how cheesy they are. Whenever I play wbc I just blindly block the ramp and then proceed to win the game since he can't cannon rush and work :D
