wbc: gl hf
wbc: did I mention I was a fan of you in bw
IdrA: learn how to play
IdrA: then talk to me
wbc: I don't deserve this game
wbc: oh mighty one

wbc then proceeds to cannon rush.

Your mistake is comparing NA ladder to the KR ladder. KR ladder is actually extremely high level and most top foreigners would have trouble getting GM there, not the case for NA or EU.

Everyone says this, and it's not really true. Yes, the Korean server is really good, and way better than NA or EU, but the reason most foreign players top out in Masters is because no one ever drops out of GM. If you look at MMR and matchups, every skillful foreign player I can think of who's gone to Korea for any length of time has been playing GM opponents.

Interesting yet when idra/stephano went mid season they got GM just fine. People drop out of there just like na/eu, not as much but they still do.

theres probably like 1000 people on the waiting list to get into GM so when someone drops out its probably more luck then anything to get the missing spot

Wrong, getting to grandmaster in EU/NA is very easy and fast if you have the skill.
There are almost always free spots but you have to be the #n Master in your region. People don't get autopromoted they need to have the rank then win a game.

If there are two open spots and there are two masters with 1250 and 1270 points which don't get in because they don't play you have to get at least 1251 points and then win a game to get in.

Check NA, EU and KR:

There are currently zero spots in NA, one in EU (saw someone on stream who was promoted just two days ago, for a short time there were 5 open spots) and 3 on korean server.

http://sc2ranks.com/ranks/fea/master
Top 3 guys would immidiately join GM if they would win a single game.

isnt getting in GM basedon MMR?
if so if there are a bunch of people all around the same skill level trying to get into GM then its all about who gets the right matchs in order to get there MMR at that point a bit faster then there comptetitors

If someone has higher points in Masters than another and both players have zero bonus pool the higher points guy has a higher MMR. For matching opponents there seems to be an MMR cap though as high masters who are not in GM face high grandmaster/high master all alike.

wbc is wannabecool, who's sole strategy is to cannon rush. He literally does not use anything else, so a lot of players don't like him.

That last game was kind of lame. Destiny, CatZ and Minigun are all watching IdrA, and both Minigun and Destiny sniped him.
Destiny (watching IdrA's stream) told Minigun (playing against IdrA) to cannon a specific location where the cannon is protected by a single pylon.
Sniping is fine, whatever. That is flirting with cheating though. I suppose it's a risk you run into when you stream.

Would be nice to see Idra do some baneling bombs. This Terran would be perfect to try it against.

NP against Vikings, cool.

IdrA's play seems so much crisper compared to his ladder games in Korea. So much more scouting and map awareness.

haha you can say they are twins in how cheesy they are. Whenever I play wbc I just blindly block the ramp and then proceed to win the game since he can't cannon rush and work :D

The only bad part about Idra being back in the states for me is that he starts streaming at 1 am. It's vods or nothing

No, it's not the other players. He just seems to be paying a lot more attention to scouting and getting map awareness and control.
