on Korean ladder 6 pooling in PvZ on taldarim almost became standard If the Protoss holds it properly, it basically turns into a 1-gate expand opening, except the Toss is no longer scared of early lings getting into his base.

Stephano's good for sure but even he isn't invincible against all-ins. Idra winning vs Inori is imo a bigger upset than Stephano losing to him. Not really. Idra doesn't die to 2 base protoss all-ins that much anymore. He just loses afterwards when he responds incorrectly to his advantage. Stephano's style is supposed to be impervious to builds like the 6 gate and dt rushing because it's so safe. Not to mention Stephano has destroyed way better PvZers than Inori who's PvZ leaves a lot to be desired. Stephano's style is impervious to the safe variation of two base all-ins, where you go forge first and do not skimp on cannons. Inori played nexus first to hit a better timing. He took a gamble and it paid off. stephano should mix in some early pools so people cant take advantage of it like that If they don't take that risk, you lose. not really, even the safest way to FFE means you get to kill there forge and pylon and force a cannon in there mineral line when you take your 6 lings back to your base and expand and be perfectly fine At lower levels, no, it's not over. But against a top level protoss who is going to do a 2 base all-in, yes, it's pretty much over. I don't mean quit at that point. There is still ample opportunity for them to fuck it up. But the timing window is so tight for stopping 2 base all-in play that you cannot afford to fail an early pool. 6 pooling a FFE toss is guranteed to put you ahead, they invest so much in getting the early forge and literally everything they do early game is all about getting that fast expo that if you 6 pool then they have literally nothing but a worthless canon in there base and that by the time that they actually get there expansion your already ahead on Korean ladder 6 pooling in PvZ on taldarim almost became standard

Unless they scout and wall off and then your fucked. tahts why i said agaisnt FFE >.>
If the Protoss holds it properly, it basically turns into a 1-gate expand opening, except the Toss is no longer scared of early lings getting into his base. ive seen alot of 6 pools VS FFE and ive never seen the protoss jsut one gate expo against it becuase its not safe
if i had a better memory id link a match on terminus where July 6 pooled and then followed it up with mass ling after the toss expanded and won but i cant remember who he played
point is they have to 3 gate expand to be safe they cant one gate and be safe VS agression

Moon 6 pooled vs huks ffe on tal darim in dreamhack finals, huk just saved for an extra gate and pylon and made a full wall then cancelled gate.

HuK is the definition of clutch.

Has anyone seen IdrA on ladder recently? He is TEARING IT UP, rank 1 and a CRAZY win percentage.

Don't have to shut him down like that man : /. I think it's cool that he's tearing up the ladder. It's better than him struggling on it. Of course we would prefer if he was tearing up live events but I think it's a cool thing to see.

Where is IdrA seeded at IPL4? A simple click and scroll in the SC2 Tourny section would give you your answer. I don't know why people are so lazy some times.
Here you go

Just watched the interview with Anna before the finals of MLG. I laughed when he started to talk about Inori. Must have been a weird feeling having Stephano watch him play and beat Inori. Sweet irony indeed.
Edit: Went back a few pages and saw that the link to the interview was already posted.
|
I asked "where" he was seeded, the answer to that being "pool play". No need to be an ass.

seems like british people don't have the ability to use liquipedia or is it their purpose to ask dumb question for +1?
interview pretty amazing though. I have a good feeling for ipl4
