I wouldnt call Huk any more abusive than MC to be honest, MC has a lot of 1 base pushes that he does and I havent seen a lot of macro play from him either, and people praise him as the best toss in the world.

Besides, Huk didnt have real chances to show his play yet, not qualifying for GSL open season 3 was normal since he was obviously jetlagged, we will see how he fares in the code A with his vast KR ladder experience, I can only wish him the best. And to reach the GSL code S final only to be destroyed by IdrA of course ![]() This. I really get the feeling that the fanbases are much more rabid about the "rivalry" (not even sure you could realistically call it that, they haven't really met often in tournaments) than the players, although they may not be bff. Regardless, it's pointless for anyone here to argue about who is better at starcraft. They're both good players, and the tournament record will tell the tale in the end.

About the Huk/Ladder thing, remember the ChoyafOu (I think) scandal? When you lose a game you lose a smaller amount of points than you gain when you win. If you play enough games with even a 50% win rate (like most people get) you can easily move up the ladder quite quickly. Ladder position isn't a great metric for skill, especially when we're comparing IdrA to HuK, who seem to ladder in far different amounts.

That was mainly because of the difference in the new master rank of around 2400 and the true mmr that was around 3500 for Choya, actually. The point inflation lasts until that point. Even after that, though, you might sometimes get 1 point more when you win than if you'd lose vs an even opponent.

Aw man no replays/VODs? Just one lame forum post. Idra loses a ladder game and BM"s half the world sees it on youtube. Idra ALL-KILLS another pro gaming team and it gets swept under the rug. NO JUSTICE I TELL YA! NO JUSTICE AT ALL! Doesn't EG want to promote its players accomplishments?? Or am I just a dumb ass who can't find them.

With that said, I think that IMO white-ra in the best protoss. In the world. Yes, better than any Korean protoss. Huk is up there with the best, but White-ra just is something else. This man is getting rich playing starcraft, you don't see that everyday.

IdrA himself has stated his dislike of HuK's play, so you should presume his fans would also jump on that idea because it came from IdrA and internalise it as their own notions regarding HuK's playing ability. Eh... No, no one should presume such a thing. Or I guess I should not open games with "gl hf" and "gg" before I quit, even when I've been cheese, just because I am an Idra fan? People are often stupid but if you explain their views and motivations this way and even assume that they have them, you would end up becoming a really narrow-minded person. For example, there are perfectly fine reasons not to like Huk - his play is all-in-ish, while the other two most popular players, Idra and Jinro, are macro-oriented. And yet, you simply explain people's attitude towards Huk with Idra's statements.
