Not an excuse, and because of the way he plays he basically needs to play a lot on all servers for international tourneys. Just a thought.

Fail, misread the comment above. I still think Supernova wouldn't throw away games for fun.

He knows when he has to expect aggression and when he can drone and expand out of control. He's been in Korea for quite a while now, and he's probably missed out on how foreigners play, and as a result his game against Koreans, which is brutal (evidenced by vs Supernova) doesn't wind up working vs foreigners. Not an excuse, and because of the way he plays he basically needs to play a lot on all servers for international tourneys. Just a thought. Is exactly these kind of excuses Idra doesnt need. Lets be fair Idra played like shit today and he have for a long time and so did Kas and Supernova. Supernova lost to Feast also and barely manage to beat Kas. Idra needs a break and got a long road ahead of him to climp to the top of the foriegn scene again. He needs to work on his general mechanics and decision making. he got supplied blocked so much this tournament it was so frustating to watch. I just think there is way to much pressue on him atm so I think EG would be smart to just give him a big break lat him enjoy life abit. The worst thing they can do is some "PR SOTG" crap with bad excuses. Im sure Idra will be back he just need a break from the spotlight and hard work

No. In countless tournaments Koreans have demonstrated that competing at a high level in the Korean scene provides you with everything you need to dominate foreign competitions. Idra just didn't play well enough in his first games, it's not the Korean metagame that made him lose these matches.

IdrA worse than Feast? ok Well Feast is an absolute beast but I definitely don't think IdrA is a worse player than either ReaL or Darkforce. I just hope IdrA doesn't lose hope for this game, he's so gosu but I have some weird feeling he's not as passionate as he were before... Don't know why I'm thinking this though. Hope it's just nonsense.

By now it should be public information that IEM has not exactly been top notch when it comes to accommodation and I think that's pretty key for IdrA, since he has stated before that he does not deal well with lack of sleep, bad food ect. From my point of view this has IdrA coming into the tournament in a bad shape. He goes into a ZvP against a not terribly intimidating but highly non-standard Protoss that was willing to take chances against him on Daybreak. This is a map which IdrA has expressed frustration with in the match up before and against a player he almost certainly doesn't want to lose to ever. Losing to real in this series and perhaps more importantly sensing that he is playing poorly has a severe negative effect on IdrA. By the time the ReaL series is over I think we are seeing an IdrA that has more or less given up on the tournament and just want to get to the next one. Hopefully he gets off to a better start in the next tournament and I hope that at some point a tournament where he has a few more days to settle in comes along. Because Idra's the only one who suffered jetlag and poor accommodations...? Those conditions weren't applicable to the other players correct? And lol if he's going to give up on a tournament after the first 2 games then he should reallythink twice about calling himself a professional. I think what happened is simply Idra got outplayed because he isn't as good as the opposition he faced.

Sadly enough i'm not really disappointed by those results cause they came somewhat expected seeing his recent gameplay and mindset (which is the more important thing!). He really should be given a break to find the Gracken again..
