IdrA really draws the crowd though, immediately after the show match they dropped 7000 viewers. I tuned in for the first match between Zenio vs. Tear but got bored and turned off the stream myself.

Now they're all the way down to 8k from a peak of 20k. Not to take anything away from the Korean weekly's but IdrA really brought a ton of viewers today (fanboys, haters alike.)

Just keep in mind: IdrA (and a few others) said that everyone who goes to Korea to practice starts doing worse then gets better;.

Thats true. I can't understand how that is though. IdrA hasn't showed a great or entertaining game for a really long time as far as I can remember. The last game I saw that IdrA impressed was the ladder game he played vs IMMvp like a year ago. Despite this he still has the largest fan base off all players in SCII and that amazes me.

I used to be an IdrA fan too before his premature gg and unprofessional behaviour got out of control. I can't root for a player that just gives up for nothing and shows no respect for the opponents. It's sad he hasn't changed in a positive direction yet.

I used to be an Idra fan too. I still am. Do you know why? It might be a foreign concept to you, but someone who has worked hard at something for over four years and has stood at the forefront of the Starcraft community should garner some respect.

Grow up, quit trolling forums, and why not go try doing something you love for four years, then come back and say that his "unprofessional behavior" isn't warranted.

Then honestly you were never an idra fan lol nor do you watch him a lot obviously because he's had plenty of really good games in tournaments vs good players. But if you don't like it fine don't be a fan who cares lol.

Yes, and all the games were pretty unimpressive from Idra's perspective.

he got his ass kicked, and quit at 180 supply when he felt he was in a bad spot, he even got outmacroed hard. he wasn't really ready for a player of taeja's caliber. yeah it was 4-0

Pity about the Taeja match, I feel like IdrA was ready skillwise. He might just not his found his place yet in korea (yes I know he has been there before) but still takes time to get used to it all again I believe.

I really thought he had fixed his problem with quitting games. Especially when you got a showmatch like this with 20k viewers and sponsors watching, you want to give it your all not just give up like this .

Guys this was played a long time ago. When he JUST got to Korea. He didnt have any practice in Korea then and was probably still trying to find his spot. And btw game 3-0 where he left. That game was just over. Now way he could've won that. He had such a shitty army, only 1 mining base vs the 2 of Taeja and worse upgrades. Didnt see game 4 so dont know what happened there. But anyway, I really hope he does well in Code A. Does anybody know when that is?

It's never a good sign when the series starts of with a proxy/bunker rush. I think Idra may need to consider going pool first just so he stops putting himself in a situation to be abused by the proxy rax/bunker rush builds.

Pool first vs terran = Bad position for mid-game because of an economical and production disadvantage.

I think the bigger problem that first game wasn't that he hatched first, but that he hatched, then made 2 drones, an extractor, and THEN his pool.

Yes I agree vs 2rax that's the wrong thing to do. But getting a hatch down there is the right thing to do to hold off the 2rax, if you can hold it without taking a ton of damage that is. You will take a ton of damage with a later pool often. Idra often goes 15 hatch 15 pool, DRG does 15 17 extractor 16 pool sometimes.

So if you want to be "safe" against 2rax you go hatch into an earlier pool than what Idra did.
