His run at the recent MLG was evidence of that, and he's been streaming a lot lately. Hopefully he can pull out some good results to back that up though! | ||

This isn't the first time he's beaten idra in a series. I'm sorry, but, accomplishments =/= skill. Are players that haven't won major tournaments "trash" to you? Because with that qualifier, most of the foreigner scene is trash. Why are you trying to infer that I'm saying idra doesn't lose to players who aren't as good as he is? Of course he does—I wasn't saying that. I was trying to say that you were being irrational in calling minigun "trash"—which you were. | ||

Then as I watch more games I realized that Idra is really, really good. One day everyone talked about how he ragequit his stream the night before. That night he was streaming again, and I thought that showed some guts and had potential for drama, so I tuned in. There was no commentary, just first person view. All of a sudden he queued up his next opponent - IMMVP. Even just watching the mouse you could feel his demeanor change. It's was like his mouse was alive. Brilliant split second decisions over an over again as MVP pressured him constantly on multiple fronts and Idra did the same in return. Win or lose it was a great game. By the end of the game I was a huge fan. I had been enjoying watching starcraft for a few months, but he was the first player that I truly felt it was an honor to watch. I know he has said that playing Starcraft 2 is not fun. I don't think that is true, I watched him have fun. But he has made it really hard to be a fan. He doesn't respect the majority of his opponents, constantly calling them terrible, even as they beat him. He leaves games that he was winning or at least in doubt. The Idra that respects his opposition and plays hard is so much fun to watch. The Idra that thinks the game is broken and his opponent is terrible is hilarious to root against. Last night it was more fun to root for Minigun. I will always respect Idra, I just want to be able to be his fan again. | ||

Actually HD likes Idra, it's just the fans that loved to watch idra lose and all the comments were "lol Idra rage quit'd" I think that sometimes it is better just to watch his games, listen to why he does this and that (and yes, he is disrespectful to a lot of opponents but can't blame him, quite a few games where he said the opponent is a retard, those are usually the cheesers) If you don't like his personality, just focus on his gameplay, you would know how beautiful it is (most of the time anyway). | ||
