so. we bought another 2 gig module (exactly the same type and brand as he had), I build it in at first in dual channel mode (wasn't sure if in his mb, dual channel = 2xsame color or 2 different). That works. I remove the module and put it in the brown slot...
Computer won't boot anymore.
I should add that his computer used to have 4 gig of ram before it got shipped to korea, where it suddenly after some time didn't work anymore and a korean technician removed one of the modules with the comment "why so much RAM?". After that it worked again.

Now I put the module back in the blue slot and surprise it didn't work either anymore... I think I have build over 15 computers for myself and friends over the years and never had anything happen to me like that. Looks like putting the RAM in one of the brown slots completely destroys it or something. Don't have another computer where I could test if the modules are completely destroyed or only stopped working with his computer.

pulz: it would be appreciated if you could refrain from posting in german, even if you are solely adressing a german member. as stated in the 10 commandments, english is this site's language, other languages can be used in pm's. He really should use Justin.tv, live stream and ustream are not nearly as good in terms of quality and performance. Glad to see TLO is back tho, Havent heard anything from him since he got back from korea.

Keep in mind that some of us have cheap internet connections on crappy ISPs and therefore have trouble watching high quality streams! I especially hate ustream because the web client doesn't allow you to select non-HD quality, so I'm fine with Livestream...
