I can't help being underwhelmed whenever I hear anything from neon bunny. Her voice is pleasant but it becomes a sort of drone after long enough. She could well do getting some guest vocalists on for some tracks or trying something a little more adventurous herself methinks.
I'm not that familiar with Korean music, do they sing playback while on stage? For example, I love this song
but I can't figure out if they sing on playback or not. My first instinct is they sing on some kind of semi-playback because some parts are dead the same as on studio track while on some parts you can hear the difference.
It's usually a partial backtrack (sometimes more than "partial...") for dance groups. Chorus parts are usually backtracked and some of the harder parts within a segment. The latter is usually more obvious since they won't even try to do lip it live.
This song is so good, is there anyone else doing stuff like this in Korea or is Neon Bunny pretty much it?
Check out casker, humming urban stereo and maybe some clazziquai (project). Not identical but some tracks from each have the same sort of vibe as neon bunny.
