Since I got accepted here, even though people aren't always so respectfull, I was able to discuss naturally about Kpop, something I wouldn't do ever irl. I started listening to a lot of different Korean artists, got invited to JPS even though I was new to torrents, started collecting pictures and gifs, got introduced to variety shows and such, got the opportunities to watch music shows...etc I basically wouldn't be the same Kpop fan without this thread. edit: SISTAR performing Alone and Holiday @ SketchBook around the end, but the whole video is pretty entertaining : | ||

i'm not feeling the artistic direction that YG is taking over the past 2 years or so. none of the new bigbang/GD, this CL solo, epik high, etc have been to my liking. maybe i'm just reminiscing but i prefer the old YG with early big bang, 1tym, taebin, se7en, wheesung, big mama etc better. | ||

I agree with ID8, YG is taking their artists in a weird direction. The only recent song I liked from YG was Big Bang's Monster (which wasn't well promoted) and that was a year ago. GD's stuff sounds the same. Hopefully YG doesn't twist Akdong's style too much... Rainbow, on the other sounds like a summer-y rock song, should be interesting. | ||
