Dude I'm not a hater, I'm a T-ara fan too. I'm getting this off dudes who translate articles (netizenbuzz) with comments and T-ara articles are always filled with "X is a bully". In addition all my Korean friends pretty much affirm that this is the perception in Korea now.
haha that's the issue here then, if you take netizen's comments seriusly then I feel bad for you, everyone knows they are everything bad in the kpop comunity, they are basically 15 year old trolls that spend all day looking for something to trash on, as soon as a small incident happens they will bring all their shitstorm and make it look 10 times worse.
The only reason international fans read netizen commets is to get a laugh, as most of the time they are retarded/funny.
If what your friends told you was true, then sexy love would never have sold as good as it did, T-ara was even the best selling group in 2012 in korea. Seems more like your "friends" are part of the netizenbuzz comunity.
Also dat ass drop dance
lol it's definitely not just netizens Sexy Love sold well because fanboys/girls, digitally they fell off.
Plus "most sold" matters little when all but 1 of their promotions happened before bully-gate, which means that it's irrelevant for the purpose of this argument.
My friends are admittedly a small sample size, but I've already admitted that. You can take cheap shots against my arguments but I see little other evidence you have against that specific point I raised (I have evidence from people who would know and you don't).
I'm not even an anti. All of you were on here long enough to know that I was one of the biggest QUEEN'S (lol) in this thread.
Yo Nate comments are trolls, and the fact that anyone believes they have any merit or actual indication of a general public opinion whatsoever is ridiculous.
edit: or rather, the general public doesn't care nearly as much as netizens do.
Doesnt matter if t-ara still has a big fanbase which buys their music if they seem to be blacklisted from Broadcasting Stations.
No Appearances on any variety shows, not a single second of airtime on Idol Championship. Don't think they can turn a profit by selling their 50.000 albums but don't appear on TV. (Excluding Music Shows where KKS can still bribe the pds apparently.)
That's true (and I never said they were completely accurate anyway), but that's not the only point I brought up, and having some kind of barometer is better than saying "my hometown T-ara fanclub is still going strong so of course their next release will be daebak!"
My point is that while there are obviously still T-ara fans the fact that they haven't done shit in Korea for months (and they haven't been in Japan the whole time either) when before at least 1 and at times up to 3-4 members were regulars in dramas and T-ara had serialized variety shows for like a whole 1 year stretch. The Idol Olympics PD admitted to cutting several groups due to a lack of time, but notice those other groups were relative unknowns like Dal Shabet, where it's a program without most of the top groups like SNSD, so a group as big as T-ara should have been given a majority of the screentime. That and internet backlash should be more than enough of an indication that T-ara isn't doing as hot as they once were. That's not even mentioning the fact that it got so bad that T-ara felt a need to apologize for weeks and release a goddamn hour long special about how sorry they were. Shit mattered. I'm not saying they're completely unpopular, or that they don't have any sort of popularity, but it's absurd to suggest that they are anywhere near the popularity or force in the industry that they were before the bullying scandal broke.

I understood that your comment wasn't completely serious but even taking in the sarcasm it's pretty stupid to joke about something that you're one of the biggest culprits of. It would be just as stupid for me to joke about high post counts within this thread. Even if it's not serious it's still makes no sense for me to mention.

I don't think we'll see much of t-ara in korea this year. not that people won't listen to/buy their songs online, but they've been stonewalled by PDs for both music shows and other public tv appearances. any damage the frenzied smearing caused is pretty much irreparable. tbh I don't think they'll ever get rid of the bullying label, but if the baek jiyoung scandal teaches us anything, the public is capable of amnesia after a year of hiatus. anybody else clearly remember the shit slinging with ivy, hyori, or kara? yea.

Sure they lost some fans but thats mainly only in korea, when you see their popularity in Japan and the rest of asia pretty much nothing has changed. Sexy love happened shortly after those rumors broke out and despite it being just a "decent" song (not as good as day by day, cry cry etc) it still sold quite good and was on the charts for months in Korea.
That just proves that the general korean public doesnt care about rumors + its now been quite a long time since that happened, if they keep releasing quality songs like before I dont see why they wouldnt be as successful as they were with lovey dovey, cry cry, etc.
Idk I said Korean t-ara fans, not everybody. Certainly wasnt my intention to imply that it was completely over for them.
As for Japan, kidol popularity there is dubious at best. The only ones I would say have any mainstream popularity are dbsk/jyj, snsd, Kara, and boa. Everyone else is a mixture of wota support only and Korean media hallyu hype.

Well that was when the rumors were still fresh and most people actually believed it was true, but a lot has happened since then. Things like Hwayoung apologizing and denying the rumors, Soyeon telling there were small conflicts like in any other group but never any bullying and especially when the knetizen who made up that story where Jiyeon slapped Hwayoung and got exposed and arrested http://forums.allkpop.com/threads/police-detain-the-former-backup-dancer-who-spread-the-rumor-about-t-aras-hwayoung.101435/
Well things like these have made most of the anti-t-ara atmosphere dissapear.
So I dont think they are gonna have any issues with appearing on tv/tv shows after they make their korean comeback, only time will tell I guess, but I highly doubt it

You're delusional if you believe that. Nobody was willing to put them on major dramas; most if not all of their sponsors have dropped them. Anybody that doesnt follow kpop news closely, or anything T-ara related, would just instantly connect anything about them to bullying. In fact, I'm willing to bet a lot of people that frequent this thread still have large reservations about the authenticity of those exonerating articles.
There's a reason CCM didn't let any of the members do a live interview or appear on any talk shows since that shitslinging started. Only time will soothe over public misconceptions/negative mindsets, so whatever you may think about KKS being completely incompetent, he's doing the smart thing by pulling T-ara out of Korea, at least for the time being. Besides, with the amount of experience that CCM has in Japan with Supernova, it shouldn't be that much of a stretch for them to entrench themselves in Japan. At least, that's my conjecture.
