Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

I am sitting in my chair, reading that snippet of translation for the third time today. So what is that quote supposed to tell me?
Whoa, didn't (actually kind of thought) think it'd explode like this.
Thanks Andyrau for the quote:
“It was our first time trying this genre, and the tempo changes all seemed unfamiliar. I couldn’t tell where things were in the composition. It isn’t a hook song that quickly catches people’s ears, so I think it was more [strange]. But once you hear our song and scratch the surface and keep listening to it, you will discover fun elements to the song. The members also began to like it more after listening to it not once, but 100 times.”
That was what I was trying to remember. I did say I thought it was Yuri but I got confused with an article from Allkpop that had Yuri answer a question to how she felt about the reaction to IGAB in which she predicted that IGAB would have a negative response.
I do apologize for creating this and I wasn't trying to start some flame war, but I was actually just going off what the members have said. It's clear from both excerpts that a few members of SNSD were unsatisfied with the song.
There might be more but the fact they already said these type of things is uncommon in itself. Hopefully the Sone defense squad disperses quickly.
It's pretty obvious you won't hear them say their own song is shit while they're still with SM. It's pretty obvious they think the song itself sucks. Funny that the sones could have ignored the comment instead of saying something back. This article explains exactly what I think.

YOU'RE ONLY ALLOWED TO SAY BAD THINGS ABOUT SNSD AND IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING GOOD TO SAY PLEASE IGNORE THE COMMENT. Yeah that makes sense. Be sure to remember this quote next time somebody starts spewing stuff out about your favorite musical act, you better not say anything to defend what you enjoy, just ignore it.

This has been said so many times, but get this, People like different things. I actually just like the song, it's appealing to my ears, I find it enjoyable to listen to. It's that simple. I probably think that a lot of the songs you like are silly. Opinions.

This whole argument can be summarized as "if you extract the deeper, repressed meaning in these quotes of interviews, here's what they really feel!"
This isn't even worthy of a discussion, the girls can't say what they really think of it. We're literally discussing the "deeper meaning" of PR quotes.

By all means you can check my post history. I have 326 posts atm and I'm pretty sure 300 of them are for this thread. And none of them will be me defending a group because someone shit on their songs.
And if I did defend a group it would be because I actually like the music from said group and not insult the poster that said song X sucked ass.
First time in weeks I wake up to 40+ new posts... And of course it's about I Got A Boy.... Again. fml thought something awesome had been released that I had forgot was coming

Ok... want a pat on the back or something? Good for you man.
I don't think any of this started because people wanted to defend the song (seriously, both sides are extremely tired of it no doubt), it was because people were making up stuff and when stupid stuff is said I think its a pretty natural reaction to want to point that out.
