Billboard has released its latest charts, and Girls’ Generation’s fourth Korean album has ranked highly on multiple charts. “I Got A Boy” debuted at #1 on the “World Albums” chart, #2 on the “Heatseekers Albums” chart (which tracks albums by artists yet to appear on the Top 200 chart), and #23 on the “Independent Albums” chart. The subunit Girls’ Generation – TTS ranked at #1 on the “World Albums” chart earlier in 2012 with “Twinkle”, making Girls’ Generation’s latest release their second number one World Album. It is also doing very, very well on youtube. It is now only second to PSY and ahead of Rihanna. Pretty good for a weeks worth of work. Good thing nerds have no effect on the music business.
