You have to filter through too much garbage to find the quality stuff and that takes too much effort for work vs. reward. I would probably feel the same about kpop if I understood korean as well as I understand english, but you know what they say, ignorance is bliss. To be fair that could be said about all music, k-pop very much so aswell. ps. hyoyeon still doesnt look fine.

I don't know if that made sense? On September 08 2012 08:25 Moonwrath wrote: Nice I didn't see that before. I am a horrible Let's....oh god the fanclub name is not good. Either you are hot as fuck or you aren't. Yes she looks fine, but so does every single girl in Kpop. OK maybe not Park Bom but 99.9% of girls in Kpop look fine. However fine is boring.

When I said kpop, I meant korean music in general and not just pop whereas rap is a more singularly focused genre and therefore harder to find quality over quantity. If I listen to a korean song regardless of genre, I'll like it for various reasons but if I was looking through rap songs in English, there's too many variable requirements for me to consider a song good. I guess it's because I have lower expectations in a Korean song so I don't get turned off like a majority of english songs because I didn't like one certain element of the song.

Kpop rap is 'talking with a beat'. I'm no rap expert and I'm not going to go into it any further than I have but that's basically it for Kpop. I'm not talking about the legit ones or whatever, some people might even find all the others bad aswell but I'm talking about mandatory rapper in groups.

![]() i gotta give this man credit. many have tried to enter the US market from korea like boa and wondergirls, few of JYP's own trainees without much success. then this guy, Psy, came out of nowhere with no intentions of the US market and exploded. his future is uncertain in US imo (could be one hit wonder) but i'd like to give him credit for bursting into the US scene without even trying.

The most sensible solution imo would be to get rid of the rapper inside the groups and if the songwriter wants a rap break then they can outsource it to someone who can actually rap. Or in the case of companies that have rappers it wouldn't be outsourcing at all. Miss A ft San E would be incredible. Or Sistar ft Jaybum.
