Those ranking fights can get pretty nasty.... SNSD-ranking talks would probably have to be taboo in public areas. Also, piece of real advice. Don't ever go for a girl just because she has same hobby/interest as you. You want to date a girl, not the hobbies/interest .

Yeah, exactly (depending on just how much the person likes kpop, of course). I don't follow kpop too closely so I would be fine with someone who follows around as much as I do. But to have a kpop mixer with people who are into it to that degree...I'm really doubtful as to whether this could possibly have a happy ending lol.

I think that if I were a girl and dating myself I'd consider the kpop fan-ness kinda weird. @Unichan- I think those are bad measures for level of fandom, I don't save pics or have a kpop wallpaper but that's mainly cause I'm too lazy, not because I'm not that huge of a fan. Also @your expectations I don't expect a girl IRL to be as attractive as an idol, especially cause they're not professionally caked with makeup, faking their personalities, photoshopped, and video edited to appear more interesting/attractive. I don't really think anyone here does.

In my life, I think I've only seen a few girls who looked as or almost as good as my top k-pop bias with makeup on, and I'm not even sure anymore because I wasn't into k-pop back then so it's hard to compare. But yeah, I don't think any k-pop fan expects this, except for maybe a lot of delusional fangirls who will be very sad when they'll notice that most guys irl don't wear abusive make-up. I really want to know who was the guy (or girl) who thought this would be a good event idea... So far KCon looks pretty lame, only released 3 groups that are going so far, and only 4minute is the only one I'd be remotely interested in seeing. The convention part of it seems a bit over the top, just a concert would've been fine.

I just saw WG called sophisticated and sexy in Youtube comments, I think I'm seriously confused as to what they are. I see them as a second tier, gross kpop act trying to make it in America, but this can change. Apparently everyone loves them, I need the top 5 songs for me to listen to gogo. I WANT TO UNDERSTAND.
