Honestly, I think most pop is just pop. I don't think K- or J-pop is superior to western pop intrinsically, I just happen to like the groups or individual performers. And I really don't care if K/J-pop never "makes it" in the western scene, I'll just listen to it regardless.
I honestly doubt it ever will, though. Yeah, PSY's vid is hilarious, but when it comes to actually listening to music, most western audiences ('merican anyway) prefer to listen to stuff in a language they understand. And we all know how well most Konglish albums are. (some exceptions, of course, but the average have been quite meh).
