It can't even download anything without the processor going to 100% nonstop (actually it just does that spontaneously), no idea whatsoever why. If I disappear from TL for a while it will be because this laptop just died on me. Only managed to get 3 albums downloaded (Absolute First, Sound-G, and Hello Venus). It's just weird because even though it's an ancient inspiron 710m, it has been working fine and can even stream GSL matches and also let me post at the same time. Suddenly now I think I infected it or something because it's just dying on me. I will check out those albums as well if I can get to it. Dang, now because I'm worry about random stuff and because I'm a perfectionist, I will beat myself up over not being able to download all of the albums .____. | ||

Edit: just kidding I am too old and too lazy for this, and we'll just have to wait until tomorrow to see because 1 hour is too long for me to stay up at this point  @Requizen: usually after several months. It depends, I guess. 4shared is extremely useful for older songs/albums. Just type in the song/album and 4shared into google, literally all you need to do and google will spit out bright and shiny and pretty quick 4shared links. You need an account now but it's free. | ||

I too have heard that perfect pitch is closer to the genetic side rather than learning it. What you can learn is relative pitch because you become accustomed to hearing the correct pitches and point out the wrong one. My friend has true perfect pitch and I don't know if it is a coincidence that his mother, father, and older brother has it as well. However, his younger sister didn't. They tried to teach her but failed, and she only ended up with a relatively good relative pitch. Anyways, I just finished watching the SM Town LA broadcast and was disappointed to see that they cut out a lot of it. Though, I do understand any of the covers they did couldn't be broadcasted because of licensing issues. I'm currently waiting for a torrent for the whole broadcast, any help for you guys? lol | ||

Perfect pitch and music aren't exactly intricately related and nobody knows that much about perfect pitch anyway. Lighten up a bit, I don't see the need for you to be so mean and/or supercilious unless you have a formal musical training and our evident comparative lack of musical knowledge grinds your gears  | ||

It's in specific cases though; first thing that comes to mind is people bitching about how a song 'copies' another or it sounds 'exactly the same' when maybe a small portion of the tracks have a similar sequence of chords. | ||

I dunno, it felt like you were drawing a connection from my post (and I know you weren't talking specifically to me) to people in KMD overall, so I was wondering what prompted you to make that logical leap, so to speak :o But yeah your point itself is well-taken. For instance there's the "everything is a remix" series (of which I only watched the first 2 admittedly) that shows how much stuff is borrowed from older works. Also there's the famous I V vi IV chord progression but that doesn't happen as much in kpop. Maybe in ballads but I haven't heard very many korean ballads. Basically a lot of songs are going to sound sort of similar in parts to each other because a lot of new works draw from a bunch of older works, but it doesn't mean that the song is unoriginal or completely steals etc. Anyway this is probably unfortunately the end of this conversation because I have to go to sleep, and don't want to restart a conversation from what I assume will be anywhere from several to a dozen pages ago ;__; so good night (or good morning/afternoon for you)~! | ||
