Sorry for being harsh, but this song and mv really bothered me. It's pretty much everything I dislike about pop music in one package. you might be into the wrong genre of music
don't care much for new AS, song is pretty forgettable. I wonder if lizzy will wear that corset onto stage, agent provocateur is hot as fuck

New AS song is disappointing. Sounds too generic and forgettable. The MV was meh, too many random cuts, didn't see anything appreciable, aside from that gif.
At least Lizzy looks good.

I don't see why this is necessarily sexier than concepts other groups have done before, other than maybe a little more padding than most.

You say that but ~half of the last two pages are going on and on about how sexy it is, lol. Goes to show what the appeal of After School is, no?
|
Same thing happens with a T-ara/Sistar etc. release as well, with length of discussion proportional to group's popularity. I'm not saying it's not sexy, just that it's not necessarily more so as Moonwrath is stating.
|
Well an MV has two parts: audio and video.
If you're worried that the actual song won't cut it... why not go for excess sex appeal, it's a fairly reliable option ^^

eh, sex has limited lifetime, especially given the amount of competition for it. Can only expect AS will be left behind sooner or later if their songs continue to sound like that. In fact I hope they do soon, so they actually put some effort into making music of some quality (or go for even more sex appeal, who knows?)

To LoL obviously. Need a team game to rely on synchronization.

You'd think so but certain groups in the industry would prove that song quality doesn't really matter.

I actually thought the song was decent. It's not great, but it's not bad either. Much better than Paparazzi, and it will surely look sexy on stage. That said the MV wasn't really as good as the hype. Needed more camera length on each member, it seemed a bit jumpy. The whole time I was waiting for some super sexy angles which happened like once or twice and instead they opted for some bad lighting which defeats the purpose of sexy since you can't see fuck all.
I would probably listen to the song again, it's kinda catchy. A lot of people think it's pretty bland, rightfully so, but it's one of those songs that will shine live like Fantastic Baby. Why the fuck they gave Nana a solo rap verse blows my mind, she's eye candy.. her voice is painful without massive autotune and even then it's pretty bad. Hope they wear these outfits on stage or at least something as sexy. I like my Nana in boots/tights/stockings. ^.<

As for Nana, prolly cause giving her a rap verse is better than giving her a singing verse and this way the cameras can be focused on her for longer.
I don't get all the MV hate. I mean it's more boring than some kpop MVs but I had no problem with the camera switches, didn't bother me at all. Some of the angles/shots were decent. There's no story unlike most kpop MVs but I don't really care either way.

I'm quite shocked most people find the song bad. I think it's one of the better releases as of late. And why are you complaining about Nana singing? She sounded great already in After School Red - In the Night Sky where she could get more singing time than from being a full group. Have you listened to Eyeline from the new album? It's the best song on the whole album, at least in my opinion.

It's not that I necessarily hate her singing, but it has a time and place. And the rap breakdown was not that time or place. I do agree that this is one of the better releases lately though for sure.
Her live performances are always cringe worthy too. You think its bad now on the MV? Wait till she tries that in real life..
|
Her voice was heavily tuned up in the album version of AS red and sounded pretty bad live.
@Kuja- I didn't take that as a story so much as a random scene in the middle of the MV cause it came out off nowhere and ended up nowhere.
