call me ignorant/fanboy but i always thought dbsk had good vocals. maybe not the best out of all the boy bands but definitely up there
better than 2AM though?
imo yes, because dbsk is able to sing a wider variety of songs than just ballad.
*edit* obviously 2AM straight up wins vs DBSK (jaejoong and junsu are just as good, if not better. dbsk's changmin is very solid, yoochun is not as good and yunho is way behind). however, it isn't really a fair assessment because DBSK wins hands down at singing while dancing (obviously very difficult to do), while 2AM has a slight edge in just typical standing while singing. to be honest though, if you watch DBSK's japanese concerts, you can't really say that 2AM is necessarily better than DBSK.
Couldn't agree with you anymore. Although it probably won't matter since SM is gonna hammer down :/
Dancing skills: 2. 2NE1 <-- They wiggle their arms up in the air as they scream, "eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-2NE1" 5. Brown Eyed Girls <-- OMG ABRACADABRA DANCE IS SO HARD TO PULL OFF 10. T-Ara
Fashion Sense: 2. 2NE1 <-- Sandara's pointy, troll-looking hairstyle is so fashionable. 10. T-Ara
No T-ara love?
Dude you bitch about 2NE1 for being at 2 while SNSD is at 1. Thats a fucking way bigger travesty right there. There choreography consists of holding poses while making cute facial expressions.
I also find it convenient that SNSD is #1 at everything but they left out Vocal skills for the girl groups thats not fucking odd not one little bit.
HOKAY I think the nerds need some things cleared up a bit.
Part 1 I'm not gay, BUT, I have been in dance for almost 8 years (ballet, modern, lyrical, jazz and hiphop) and have been doing musicals for like 4 of those years and have choreographed for 2.
Part 2 That being said, SNSD's choreography is actually fantastic, especially for a group as large as 9 members. It's bouncy, spot on, tight, a lot of it is technically difficult (not impossible, but srsly), and most of all THEY DO IT IN HEELS. I'm not sure you guys understand how hard that is (i mean i dont either >_> ) but they do it very very well. Example 1: the end of the OH! mv, the one legged stand? in unison? fantastic.
On the other hand. 2NE1's choreography is all awful and they're bad at doing bad choreography. which, in turn, is bad.
I actually think SM has really good choreographers. SNSD and Suju in particular stand out to me as really good choreographed performances. When was the last time 2NE1 did anything difficult?
@zoLo, how are they fail, if anything 2ne1 does have the lousier cchoreography. Put the blind fanboyism aside, how does chest pumps and thousand hand buddha makes for better choreography?

add Shinee in there as well, seriously the hate on SM in this thread is reaching a new high.

Yep, SM artists might look like they're doing all rudimentary dance routines, but I would imagine getting their 9 and 13 member groups all coordinated while singing to be quite difficult. The appearance of simplistic dances also tend to lead to parodying and imitation, which in turn is more advertising for them as well. I can't count how many times I've seen people at my school randomly dancing a part of Gee or Sorry Sorry.
And I can't even remember any of 2NE1's dance routines right now, neither do I want to =/.
Its not so much that we hate SNSD. We just feel like there are other groups out there who are better and more deserving of attention. We are confused at how so many people can be so blinded and follow a group that has no substance. I have a feeling they are like the housing bubble in the U.S. and I cant wait until it bursts. As far as the dancing goes dont like 90% of groups perform in high heels? Also having 9 members perform the routines is an advantage. You can get 1000 people to raise their hand up and down and it will look good because theres a 1000 fucking people.. Its the same concept for them having 9 people do a shitty routine makes it somehow look good because its so symmetric.

I don't understand it. I wear heels when I need to, i.e. I'm going clubbing - and even then, after about an hour I'm dying.
Actually it's a good way to sort out who's Korean-American (Canadian, European, Australian) and who's a real Korean-Korean here. Grocery store in heels? Yup, you're Korean. Out on the street in plain ole' flip flops? Yup, gyopo.
with suju in particular, I think the 13 people is actually an advantage. They're able to have three or four guys in the middle doing a more difficult routine, while the weaker dancers do something more simplistic. Look at the dance version of Sorry Sorry and pay attention to what Eunhyuk is doing compared to some of the rest of the guys outside the chorus. But in a group like T-ara or 2NE1, the smaller numbers means this strategy just isn't possible, and they're only as strong as their weakest dancer. We've seen Minzy can dance in dance stages, but how often does she get to show that off as a member of 2NE1? Never.

Great, now name me a kpop idol group that is more deserving of anything? Talentwise, vocalwise, dancewise, aren't all these kpop idol groups basically the same? One or two good vocals, a dancer, some off the side talents and walah, you got a kpop idol group. Its not SNSD's fault that they have the bigger fanbase and public recognition. If anything you should bash, you should blame it on your favourite group's company for not bringing them out as well as SM has done for their artist.
lol, I love how they didn't mention vocal ability for Girl Groups, cuz they wouldn't have #1 there. What, they needed to have SNSD at #1 for everything? I swear those reporters have to be heavily biased because not showing SNSD first at something will enrage a lot of people.
I mean come on now, you KNOW that EunJung, HyoMin, and SoYeon > TaeYeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Sunny, and SeoHyun (Sunny's fricking horrible for dance songs). If it was the old T-ara they blow everyone out of the water vocally.
SNSD #1 for dancing I have a big problem with too. Aren't f(x) supposed to have better dancers? I'm sure Chu and Lachata has some pretty complex choreo vs. SNSD's more recent stuff. I bet some of you guys are gonna use HyoYeon as an excuse for SNSD (oh the irony, most of you guys don't even like her) but overall, f(x)'s ability has to surpass SNSD.
