I was curious about how many find their way to Kpop without necessarily having someone introduce them to it or at least facilitating them the entry into this world. Growing up as an Asian or in an Asian community will help out immensely in that regard, I assume, and represents the contrary to, say, the Central European young adult "community" that I (have to) frequent that likes to think of itself as sophisticated and grown-up, which makes liking Kpop not an easy thing to do for me, given that a) nobody does it (listening to it, that is) because it is b) kinda looked down upon because it is c) not understood and thus d) not appreciated. I basically had to find my own way here. Maybe I should have polled "Did you - a) Find your own way into kpop b) Got introduced by a friend/class mate/family member or c) At least grow up in a non-prejudiced environment?". The answers overlap there though and won't get me a better answer than the poll I did. | ||

I went to the Universal Studios Singapore like 2-3 years ago when WG - Nobody was still pretty popular. They actually sang the it there at a show there, Monster Concert iirc. That was pretty cool, Kpop being introduced to people in that fashion. And I went to the same show this year, they still do it :p Was surprised tbh, thought they would've at least change the song that's now like what, almost 4 years old. | ||
