The hip hop/urban feel works in Korea because it's new, its unique, it isn't done with other groups, but it's well established in the US and if it doesn't feel authentic (read:if you aren't black), I don't know if people will give it a chance. In fact, they may be ridiculed. And the whole coming up through the manufactured YG training vs. starting in the streets/independent will work against them. | ||

It'll probably not make a big difference in the end except that a few people will be more aware of kpop. The thing is, I've been watching a lot of IY season 1 during the last weeks and got my subbed stuff from soshified, which I appreciated quite much. However, I just finished watching ep32 ( I nearly cried along with them) and now I don't seem to find good subbed videos for the rest of the season( I even fail to find something on youtube, since there is so much stuff of IY2 now). I've read several times that it might be not that good anymore with the 3 girls leaving but I want to give it a try since I liked the show a lot so far. So maybe somebody here can give me a good site where i can still get them? Would appreciate that a lot and I know you guys can help me, you know everything kpop related (might be because this thread is my only site for kpop news) | ||
