To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules; - Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
- When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
- No reposting of old material unless justified
- Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
- No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
- Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
- No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
- No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
- Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up. |

Looking through most, I didn't like most of the stages that much, the collabs werent as good and everyone was doing pretty much their own thing with just a ''spin to it''.
bit dissapointed.

I expected more as well, and felt like it kept getting worse. Maybe that was because it was so long and everyone sort of did the same thing.

SM Town says what's up, get on their level. Nobody can touch them. The best, period. You're baiting hard or you're delusional... Either way, it's pretty sad. No you're baiting. SM is the best. Go grab any metric you want, and SM is on top. It's too bad you're arguing just because it's Moonwrath, and not on any semblance of logic. The problem is that any sort of average performance from SM gets hailed as the best thing that has ever graced the world of K-pop by SM fanboys/fangirls. And you are saying my statement don't have any semblance of logic? Only arguing because it's Moonwrath? He's basically the only one that spews that soshified/soompi/akp/randomfangirlforum garbage on this forum, so yeah.. We're saying two different things. Was the performance meh? Yes. In general, as an entity in the Kpop sphere, is SM Town the best? Yes. no, thats a purely biased argument to make for me it would be YG>IU>>SM+JYP+Cube>rest How is it biased? Go look at any objective metric like earnings, artist demand, scope of popularity, whatever else and SM Town will be on top every time.
Because those metrics dont fit "best" overall. It just means (if you're right) that they're the most popular, the most in demand, the ones with the biggest cashcheck. "Best" is a very vague term since everyone has a different opinion of what "best" means.
|
"Best" and "most popular"/"most profitable" are terms that people keep on confusing.
Cheap bread might be the most popular food to consume, giving huge revenue to its producers, but who in its right mind would argue it's the best food around?
Just accept that your taste is nothing more than subjective. Everyone's biased in one way or another.
And yea, that show was massively disappointing for the potential awesomeness that remixing old songs can bring.

For the people that are using the Seditary-Generator:
- Special characters are now again accepted in spoiler tags. (Unlike my previous lame workaround). - Deleting performances has been revised and should work better now. - Spoiler CSS change has been fixed. - Performances are now automatically sorted by name.
That is all ^^

Well this is awkward, I suddenly thought of a song I heard several years ago, about when I heard Kpop for the first time that I can't place... only remember the word "Diva" (I think it was) being repeated about 4 times or so throughout the song. Should be from 2008 or earlier, anyone have any idea what I'm thinking of? It's not really important, but I find it annoying to be unable to place it...
