Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

Yeah, I was talking about the song too. I dunno, maybe I'm just an anomaly but I kinda thought that The Great Escape and Mr. Taxi shat all over the rest of the album and don't really listen to it much anymore. But I mean live performances are misleading I feel. The atmosphere helps tremendously. I dunno, I mean, I saw the kpop fest in Sydney and after seeing it done live, it sort of cemented it up there as one of the top songs for me. It's unorthodox, but I don't believe it's in any way bad. Maybe it's just the effect of seeing it live that's throwing me though. Maybe I'm just bitter that I wanted a Great Escape MV and got that pile of trash instead Edit: spelling
You probably are, but i agree...the great escape, and especially mr taxi was and still is fucking awful. Almost as bad as the boys.
Bad girls and echo(was that from their japanese promotions or not? Cant remember) were good.
*edit* Ugh pagetop... I guess this, until someone can help me out and post something proper, leeteuks new look. *Insert WTFness*

I'm hugely biased to Sica and fairly biased to Taeyeon so there's no surprise that I liked Bad Girl, Their parts are just so good in the song. The MV wouldn't have been any better no matter what song they would have chose.
The Great Escape is also good but i'm not a huge fan of the intro, on the other hand I liked most of the songs on the japanese album purely because it was consistent. Just like Wonder Girl's new album is besides Act Cool, I just like that they decide a sound and stick with it.

The good parts of The Great Escape are 0:38-1:08 and 1:45-3:50.
And I suppose I can see where you're coming from. I thought the album was pretty consistent as well. I just found it consistently boring instead :D I just liked Mr. Taxi and the Great Escape cos they were catchy and amusing. And hey, I like Taeyeon too, but the Swedish frosty counterstrike tips kinda bugged me for a while until I got used to them But I suppose it's in part due to my approach to kpop where I only really go there for catchy, mindless stuff. My English music is a little more meaningful. It always makes me wonder what English music kpop fans actually listen to
And no, Echo was off of the 2nd album. The MV just came out around then cos of the Phuket thing I think
Your references confuse me though as I haven't listened to the new WG album yet.

And yeah, I've seen a couple of last.fms of people from the KMD thread in all my time lurking like Craton's and Unichan's and don't actually even recall seeing any English music on them :S
I considered making a poll but it felt like too much effort

That's cause I started using it after I started listening to kpop. http://www.last.fm/user/TuElite Our favorite Nicole lover has quite a bit of English (or at least European/white/whatever) music. I have Kid Cudi as my #9, lol. http://www.last.fm/user/uniberry/tracks?page=10 Here's a small bit of American music I listened to. Quick look, before it disappears! I also made a post in konadora's blog listing FOUR WHOLE DIFFERENT SONGS in english (lol, quite a feat actually)

Heh, well to be fair, looking at my last.fm you wouldn't see much English music either. But that's sort of because I started listening to kpop after my dad died a few years back and it was the only thing that would get me in a good mood. Used to just sit around listening to SNSD/Rain/TVXQ/T-Ara on a loop for hours on end, staring into space so the kpop count is incredibly inflated now But I see Backstreet boys! And Taylor Swift! So it's not THAT far removed from kpop! Just kpop with less pretty people
And yeah, I saw TuElite's on people's friend list and was scared to click since I already disagree with his taste in women, I was scared of his taste in music :D

Can anyone capable of understanding Korean explain to me what this table is supposed to explain? + Show Spoiler +
Looks like the schedule for Fame and who will be playing each role on each day. Tiffany is playing every day whereas all the other roles are switching.
Fany? 미정?
Oh and I would say The Boys is their worst song... but they're still winning awards... Nature of SNSD. They already have so much power in the music industry.
I dunno you would've thought it's some pun or something, but 미정 means something like "not decided yet" so it's probably just that
just to clarify I don't know much Korean and I don't know the origin of the picture but to me currently it looks like they might be off whoring out in the states in december again or something like that
tbh I'm not really sure, there's a korean granny singer hwang mijeong so it might also be that, or anything like kom taewoo, song jiyok, hwang mijeong, that sort of thing is so Korea, dunno what exactly hwang mijeong would mean though. It might also just be a mistype. But if life has taught me one thing it is to always expect the worst

So I made a last.fm account because I thought it was cool to see what you listened to the most, find new stuff etc.
http://www.last.fm/user/Ka1wa (LOL at the SNSD stats. I'm not even sure how it got that info. Does WMP store info on how much you have played a song?) Kinda funny to see where my addiction started anyway.
