Kibum - Didn't even come to SS2. He should just quit officially and maybe make a cameo if they ever get round to doing a second movie. Focus on his acting ^^ Kangin - I used to like him, but DUI is pretty unforgivable. His behavior implies he needs some time out/to retire. Heechul - Might be a terrible singer, but he's one of the most interesting personalities in the group. He needs to do more variety shows. He's also epic in popularity. Shindong - Is actually responsible for a lot of Suju's dance choreography. His weight shouldn't be an issue because he is an excellent dancer. He just needs to show that off more. Donghae - Also a good dancer and one of their better vocalists (but obviously KRY smack everyone in the face for that.) Him and Eunhyuk are kind of an institution.

Him and Eunhyuk are kind of an institution. heechul's popularity has gone down since suju's debut, although yes he is still generally well-liked. but he doesn't really bring anything to the table. ask yourself, if heechul was gone from super junior, would they really be less popular? shindong was never meant to be a singer. yes, suju is a multitainer group, but first and foremost it is a singing group. in my opinion, they planned to have shindong be a tv personality/comedian etc from the beginning. they just stuck him in suju because the most important thing in korea is to get name recognition. after you get that, it's smooth sailing. now that he's famous he doesn't really have a real need to be in the group. he's just extra baggage (lol). donghae: i agree he's popular, but that's just due to his looks. he's a decent dancer, but nothing special. he's a decent singer, but as with dancing, nothing special. it's really funny how they try and stick him in with the actual good singers (like their la la la appearance where he was with KRY). also, he is usually awkward in interviews and programs. i just feel like the group would be able to go on without losing anything appreciable if he left.

So I really don't mind if groups like SuJu are kinda getting crap now, because to be honest their so high up on a pedastal in KPop that it just doesn't seem to be a big deal. After all Sunny's slave driving uncle can conjure up some sort of mockery and make things in SM world all normal again. Seriously SM, where the frack is CSJH and Nadia? When are you gonna promote your real talents, considering DBSK has basically told SM to go fuck themselves,

They didn't even acknowledge the 10th yr anniversaries of 1TYM and JinuSean (which were pretty much their flagship names until Big Bang) and was dumb enough to let Wheesung and Kim JiEun go. They didn't do enough to get Masta Wu, Perry, and other names out there -_-.

Funnily enough I think Donghae is one of the least attractive in the group. You have to remember that Super Junior has never been just about the exceptional singers/dancers in the group. If it was you'd basically have this; Yehsung. Kyuhyun. Ryeowook. Eunhyuk. Hangeng. I don't really agree that it was first and foremost a singing group - that is more the territory of DBSK's earlier work and their stuff from Japan which is all pretty srz vocals with no shiny gimmicks or images. If you look at things like Miracle it was all crafted to create the image of a group that caters for everyone - not just to those who want exceptional vocal talent (in the same way you'd market a ballad group. Unless you're JYP...) It's more of a 'farming' group which contains members who all have different strengths and very different personalities. (From Shiwon's gentleman style to Heechul's rebellious diva type.) Even if some members appear to be baggage to you they appeal to some part of the target demographic and also as you said with Shindong allow SM to earn more money from sending them out to do tv shows. I feel as though the roster reads something like this; Yehsung - singing. Kyuhyun - singing. Ryeowook - singing. Sungmin - singing. Kibum - acting. (MIA since forever.) Kangin - tv shows. (obviously in disgrace right now.) Heechul - tv shows. Eunhyuk - dancing. Donghae - dancing. Shindong - dancing/tv shows. Eeteuk - Leader/tv shows. Hangeng - dancing/gateway to China. Shiwon - gentleman factor to lure the moms. Henry - noona bait/international element. Zhou Mi - singing/Gateway to China back up. It's kind of like most of the boybands. You can sum SHINee up similarly; Key - diva/rapping/tv shows. Minho - rapper. Taemin - noona bait. Jonghyun - singing. Onew - ????

And honestly, if you remove almost ANY member from one of those big idol groups, you would see a noticeable decrease in popularity. Even if the member doesn't have a unique role in a group (best dancer/singer/humor), they contribute to the group as a whole although maybe not always on stage. People underestimate the value a specific member brings to the group as a whole to join everyone together, encourage other members, and keep morale up (which is very important). Even if you lose just one member, even from SuJu, you will no doubt see a huge decrease in stage presence. The effect a single member has on the inner workings of an entire group is huge, regardless of their own personal skill or popularity.
