- When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
- No reposting of old material unless justified
- Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
- No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
- Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level

- No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
- Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up. |

Perhaps DSP was preparing for this battle a month ago.
From now on, we shall refer to them as NJSH (Nicole, Jiyoung, Seungyeon, Hara)

I really hope they'd come up with a more creative name than that.

NJSH boat shall sail on to new worlds!

And if Gyuri didn't know...there's a chance she'd leave too.

It would be great too if they joined up with another company. Has there ever been a case where another company signed up a group that disbanded from their previous company? shinhwa went from SM to Good Ent.
also DSP has a history of this stuff if you go back to their roots with Sechs Kies. that was another messy breakup.

[rumor]Gyuri's Dad is a major shareholder of DSP and he works for DSP Entertainment.[/rumor]
Update: Found this
Gyuri was a huge fan of H.O.T while growing up and she revealed on Strong Heart, “My father works for the military promotions media. When I found out that my dad was working with Tony in the military, I asked my dad to take good care of him.”

If KARA becomes trademarked, can they call themselves something like CARA or something that sounds anything remotely similar to KARA?

Well, nothing's going right for DSP...all they got now is Rainbow and that random solo artist who no one knows about. I predict faster comeback for Rainbow, faster debut for that male group they were talking about. I always welcome more Jaekyungs.

No that's the point of it, they'll have rights on everything closely remoted to the KARA name. Ex. UraKara, Sweet Melody and everything else similar. + obviously they have the rights to all the previous songs, Music videos, performances, etc. that KARA did.

I think this is even bigger news than SS501 breaking up because all we've been hearing about is KARA this and KARA that in Japan and Korean. Hard to imagine them breaking up amidst their peak but I guess if they want some leverage, this would be the time to do it.
|
NO MORE ASS DANCE NO edit- also the SS501 thing was due to their contract running out, not contract termination. They're also talking about doing something together, doubt it'll happen, more a PR thing.

Kara's actually breaking their contract, while SS501 had to do with splitting after the contract ended. I think a better comparison would be DBSG.

well, DBSK was openly fighting with their agency so them breaking up was forecasted. KARA just happened right out of the blue. I go to allkpop for my daily kpop fix and BAM! It's gonna be a long while before I get to see Nicole shake her booty.
|
Well, apparently it's been 2 months coming, it just isn't as public as the DBSK thing was.

not sure, i assume they will have to make a new name like jyj since sment owned dbsk/tvxq

Why the fuck would DSP trademark the kara name? the only one left would be gyuri ( if she doesn't leave like the other 4). I'm somewhat glad that they are leaving the company now.
