I absolutely loved this movie. It is just popular to hate it because it's so damn good!

Honestly, I wasn't thinking about the visuals at all the whole time.

The plot was excellent, and the acting was phenomenal, I couldn't help but almost shed a tear when the hometree fell, and the Na'vi where being crushed underneath it.

I just watched it a few minutes ago with surround sound, this might be blasphemous, but...

IT WAS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL STAR WARS SERIES!

I've been really curious how well this would do in DVD/BluRay. I had thought it wouldn't do as amazingly well as the theatrical release, but that betrays my thoughts about the film. I assumed people (like me) saw it to see the 3d and other tech advances. For home though: 1) most people don't have the setup for 3d at home and 2)who needs to see it again for the story? It was dumb (according to me).

Well surprise it seems a lot of people actually liked the story. Rather than being a passable vehicle for the tech extravaganza, people really enjoyed the story This makes me a little sad, but who am I to judge. Anyway, still curious about those DVD sales. As it becomes clear how well it is doing I'll be able to see if my initial hypothesis was correct or not.

I heard they were supposedly going to re-release it in theaters. I am guessing they realize they could probably make another chunk of money allowing for people to watch it again, even in 3d!

It was a good movie to watch for the graphics, not the story itself.

Watched this movie and got mad when I thought of the fact that people really like this crap. People should have standards.

Avatar is the proof that good graphics don't make a good movie.

The most overrated movie i have ever seen ! its just wrong when u say its better than star wars.
After i saw the movie (i was on premiere, in my local theater) and it was wooow so cool and awesome but when i came back home and my friends asked me if it is worth of 8euros i said NO, download it, its just regular long movie with some nice and gay parts : )
but watch it anyway :D its not worth of money but its worth of time ^^
