If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.gg

I'm not sure which one it is but the one with "Duke" irritates me to no end. As do some of the similar ones, where it looks like a metallic power ranger shooting wrist-watch laser beams. And they shout like this monotone CROSS LASER BEEEEEEEEEEEEAM and it's just utterly boring. The characters are also generally brainless or have this really stuck-up way of talking that puts me off, so yeah. I know a lot of the Gundam-ish mecha tend to come from crappy shows and such but they're fabulous eye-candy and you really "feel it" when you use them in SRW games, which is why I love the OG games (awesome lines, awesome combat animations, awesome characters, etc.)
Edit: *monocles on* Miss Sakaya, let us go! CROSS LASER BEAM ATTACK, I do say!
Grendizer maybe? Some dude named Duke is the pilot of it, and its another of the Go Nagai robots, but not on the same level as Mazinger. According to Wiki, Grendizer never appears along side Mazinkaiser in any game or anime, so if Grendizer is there, then odds are I hate it because that means no Mazinkaiser.
I wish the SRW games would use some of the newer versions of (for example) the Getter Team in the games, rather than always the 70s version in Armageddon's mechs.

I will say though, the 2001 references were pretty nice. ^^
Episode 0 was the worst ep imo. That said, the show is "cute girls being cute"... and that's it. So don't expect plot or character development or much of anything besides cuteness all over the place.
Edit -- Ferrose is absolutely correct, Ana is the best character in the show.
Honestly at this point it's allready showing that the creators have an abyssmall taste in pacing and regardless of all that i doubt something happens prevents me from putting these cliche characters up against a wall and calling the firing squad.
I like fast paced and i like slow paced but i loathe poorly paced shows like this that just have me watching a slice of life show about a guy that happens to be able to send bananas back in time. I must apologize for making that sound more intresting then it really is.
Like i said, i will be watching it for a few more episodes, perhaps the writer is only incompetent at the start of his story but the only way anyone can like these opening episodes is if they are into boring coma inducing anime wich i suppose some might be. It might get better in the future but the show isn't off to a good start.
exactly how I felt. Ill still watch the whole thing because Im a glutton for punishment and naive in thinking that although chaos head got butchered mayyybe just maybee they can pull a nice little rabbit out of the whole vague unexplained randomness. Heres to insubstantial optimisim.

lolwut, Iris gets owned. That was kinda unexpected. Actually, why does Lucile only care about Ferris and not Iris? The guy's kinda picky about his sisters.
Not enough Kiefer, imo. At least she's back though. =/
They translated the whole vol 1? Not bad, heh. I am stuck here not being able to find raws above...ummm, what was it, 7 or 8 or something. Vol 10 is releasing soon iirc.
DenYuuDen is actually pretty bloody short, DaiDenYuuDen slightly better (They are both around the same length, but the former has dango talk) on that front. But still, pretty good work I guess to actually have 2 vols done .
About that family, you'll see soon exactly how things are...not that what I've seen in DenYuuDen wasn't enough, it just wasn't as blunt as this

Anyway, I just finished TSR. I liked the LN a lot more : /
Welcome to your first experience of being like Ecael and Southlight. Where y'all recommend KnK a lot and we're like BUT DAT SHIT AINT EVEN CLOSE. :p
lol, text imagery > animated imagery. Vol 2 was so underwhelming in comparison when it comes to that scene, even if it was done superbly well in comparison to other theatrical releases.
I don't remember who it was but someone in the IRC channel commented "Oh no they've turned Ferrose into an LN elitist!"

Pacing wise TSR was just kind of strange, to be honest. It was still a pretty well done animation though.
Well, the LN wasn't long enough for thirteen eps, so they introduced this prequel thing where they went to some Middle Eastern country then China. I liked how they made the assassins into actual characters, same with the leader of the people from Amalgam (though that guy ended up being like the weirdest antagonist ever).
I guess it makes sense, considering that the LNs will later develop on Amalgam, but the anime obviously didn't go past Ending Day by Day. IMO they should make A Dancing Very Merry Christmas into an OVA since it's mostly filler, then continue the TV anime from Continuing on my Own.
