Is she a tsundere as well? I thought she got introduced in like episode 2 of the animes already, something like that. The sister of that friend of Ichika's.
Oh her.
That was so stupid. She walks into the room. "OMG ICHIKA IS HERE?! *blush*"

It was about that same size during Season 1 as well. + Show Spoiler +I watched the first two eps again. And wtf. Merkatz was one of those retarded old admirals under Reinhard's command? And Fahrenheit was one of the admirals under Reinhard's command? And Reuental, Mittermeyer, and Oberstein were all in the same bar on Iserlohn? And I thought it was funny how during the whole first episode, the Alliance is getting raped, and Yang and Attenborough are just like "This could have been avoided if you had just listened to us " + Show Spoiler +lol, IIRC I made some comment about that when I rewatched the early episodes back when you guys started as well. I was like "wtf Merkatz and Fahrenheit were there?" They actually get a few lines in Overture to a New War. If you are going to rewatch the first two episodes, you REALLY should watch the Overture to a New War. Its episodes 1+2+tons more content+much more pretty. I plan to start the side stories and movies when we finish the original series. I recommend doing the two non-Golden Wings movies, then the Gaidens. You don't recommend Death Star Iserlohn? If you want to see a cool death scene, you could watch it... Everything else just made me feel like the movie was an abomination, even though it technically wasn't that bad.

Since IS is only 12 eps, and is very popular, I have a strong feeling that there will be a second season.
|
Popular? IS? Maybe if Charlotte has the spotlight for all the vols left in this series. At any case, they are doing around 4 ep per vol, 6 vols out so far, can well be a second season, maybe. On the bright side, even Houki thinks that her foremost enemy would be Charlotte, so maybe the author would have the brains and acknowledge Charlotte's popularity.
Edit - ahaha Charlotte so awesome, helping Laura shop for cloth.
Rin doesn't show up again till later on, I took at look at random pics so I am not sure yet. Also I don't have vol 6 of LNs so can't tell you what's happening.
(11:30:51 AM) Ecael: lol I like how most of your points are like (11:30:56 AM) Ecael: see the epilogue (11:31:09 AM) Southlight: lol (11:31:16 AM) Southlight: BUT IT'S TRUE (11:31:28 AM) Southlight: so much of 5 makes you confirm one way (11:31:33 AM) Southlight: only for the epi to jerk you the other way (11:31:34 AM) Southlight: hahah

Not sure why it seems so popular, since I haven't heard much good about it :/
|
It would be the harem show of the season probably, and Charlotte is pretty awesome so I guess there would be a decent fanbase. But seriously, most popular show this season? Shouldn't that be Madoka lol.
Also, CharxLaura, let's just go with this and ignore Ichika and the rest. I like that idea.
|
Might be the most popular abroad but as far as I can tell not in Japan ;d
It's popular among the pervs though, but such shows will always exist (Dragon Crisis, Ushiro no Maou, etc.) so you'll not have a shortage of those shows for some time, I assure you.
Edit: From Ecael.
yeah if IS is popular at Japan I think the nation is doomed taste wise =p see how eagerly I hopped to a yuri pairing? talking to you too much =p

Yeah, considering it's already been licensed for NA release, I think you're right. It is mecha, after all.
Idk about you guys, but I can't wait for the spinoff, Ore no Onee-chan ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai:

Edit: Ecael meant Charlotte? I thought he meant Gundam CharxLaura

Nope, I meant something like this.

Too bad that's vol 4, so I don't think it'll make it to this season. At that this author just stuffed short stories into an actual vol or something, geez.
|
I think the anime may be redeemed for all the shit if they include that.
|
That thing looks so much like Strike Witches...
|
I think the anime would be infinitely better if we just have 3 yuri pairings and everyone dump Ichika, but in general that seems to be the case for all harem based works. I am really talking to Uta too much >_>
Seriously though this whole Houki and Tabane thing is retarded, their entire 'conflict' is just over Houki being forced to move before she could confess to Ichika. With Houki being just this horrible tsundere+osananajimi. What is this, try to throw a ton of bad things together to see if it'll somehow turn out well? Then you make all that mixed up into an invincible plot armor (Tabane simply won't even talk with anyone other than Chifuyu, Houki and Ichika, Tabane's technologies also > that of nations. All of them. Combined) and get this horribly stupid work with 2 cute characters worth reading more about. I guess the only saving grace is that I read fast enough and the series is simple enough that I can plow through it with no effort, but seriously -.-

And you say that that's average? That sounds like shit tier material to me.

I thought he meant Gundam CharxLaura Mecha is much more popular in Japan than it is in the West, for some reason I will never understand. Just look at the impact Gundam has had over there, and compare it over here, where half the people in this thread use 'Gundam' as a negative.

Really? I always thought it was pretty popular, evidenced by the success of series like Transformers (though I don't really consider it mecha since they aren't piloted by anyone).

A bit more of an icon than Transformers, lol. I'm not saying that Mecha is unpopular in the West, its just that for some reason, it doesn't seem as popular as it is in Japan.

Gundam stamps? I want a set of those

On February 17 2011 02:53 Ferrose wrote:Gundam stamps? I want a set of those lol, some of this is pretty funny as well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Char_Aznable#Cultural_significance
In a planned spaceflight for 2006, Soyuz TMA-9, a Japanese internet investor named Daisuke Enomoto had asked to dress up as Char Aznable. However, medical restrictions prevented him from participating in the flight. lol
|
Ichirō Ōkouchi wanted a mask to be included as a part of the series, because he felt that a mask was necessary for it to be a Sunrise show.
So true.
And lol at the guy who wanted to go space dressed as Char.
I want a Char credit card.
