LOL What's so bad about being a Tessa fan indeed. Let me join Spazer and start laughing ahead of time. EDIT - man, can't IS even pretend to be a harem show? This is disgusting. I can't help but feel like I am now reading IS in hopes of anyone coming along and just making life hell for Houki.

The LNs feel a lot darker and mature than the anime so far.

I guess A Dancing Very Merry Christmas has a lighter tone than the other novels, but things get pretty serious after that. Fumoffu doesn't count. Edit: I still don't understand why authors are so bad at creating good tsunderes. It can't be that hard, can it?

Edit: I still don't understand why authors are so bad at creating good tsunderes. It can't be that hard, can it? Pretty much all of Fumoffu's events were before A Dancing Very Merry Christmas afaik. I think it is just an issue where they get captured with the need of making a tsundere lead to the point that the character is nothing but a tsundere. A tsundere who needs a ton of plot to prop her up as the leading female character. It isn't like the idea of a tsundere itself is bad, but when some character's only defining trait is summarized by 'tsundere'...yeah, that simply won't do at all. Like at this point, I am not even judging by how they pull off the tsun and the dere, but rather I am trying to see if that character has any defining features outside of that. Even ignoring realism, these characters often just don't have any depth beyond that. Unfortunately, this kind of a stupid archetype excels at dragging out a series. -.- It probably isn't even a question of how hard are these characters to write at this point, but rather what can allow an author to stretch a selling series out the most (with the least effort).

The point I read up to probably covers the rest of this season, but they may make up their own ending. I actually forgot what was going to happen in this episode. I mean, I pretty much remembered, but I didn't know when and how. Even with reading ahead and pretty much knowing the outcome Sawako still makes me rage.

+ Show Spoiler + I'm using a guide, and I see that in chapter four there's a flag to start the Ririko route. Should I do her route first? Or just stick with Natsumi?
